So I'm sharing with you guys today the second part of the series I made titled DESDEMONA
Took me a little while to finish post this cos I was busy with other projects😊

And I want to say a big thank you to a friend of mine who helped come up with the story or write ups on the Art again. It's more like a Collab cause she'll also be the one writing for the last part of the series

The Story

She looked in the eye the fear of the people
First in the history of the land
Battled evil against evil with a pure intent
Then, the people saw weal in the forest they deserted
They saw the glamour in a moon
that shines day and night
Yet some said to keep at arm's length
She withheld the peace of a spirit
bears the name of an odd beauty
who knows what more peace she'll cease
She is still Desdemona
The lady of misery.

Note: This is an original character created from scratch by me without any references.

Step 1: I created a quick rough sketch of how I wanted my character to be and also some necessary accessories on her body but unfortunately I mistakenly deleted the layer and I couldn't recover it.

Step 2: on this stage I created my neat line Art using the previous stage which is the sketch. On this stage.

Step 3: Here on this stage I made changes to my art, I realized I didn't want it to be a full figure art so I decided to zoom in more on my character to capture her expression more.

Step 4: I created a color palette, it was just a replica of the previous one I created cos they're still the same character with sake costume on.

Step 5: Here on this stage I established my first layer of colour using my already created colour palette,
Also I decided not to also approach the first layer with a gradient cos I had planned on create my lights and dark myself using a step by step tone shade from dark to light just like the part 1 of the series.

Step 6: Here I started adding my shades to the character such as the body and also the head and face. This step took me some time cos I had to create the shade on the body gradually till it get to the base colour.

Step 7: Here I also added my shades to the character's cloth . This was pretty fast cos I only had a few layers of shades for the cloth

Step 8: On this stage I added my first light to the art and also my rim light or sharp light as you can see it on some edges of the body, cloth and also the golden plate on her thigh.

Step 9: Here I decided to work more on the African patterns on her body and also added the hand beads.

Stage 10: on this stage, I established my background and since it's the same character, I decided to use the same background for this also.

Step 11: on this stage I decided to create some water element to the picture to added to the mood of the character, doing this wasn't as easy as it looks cos I know I made a lot of mistakes and tried over and over again till I was able to achieve this.

Finally, some lighting and glows.
