___________PORTRAIT___________

Hi guys, how are you doing today.

_____Welcome To My New Post_____

Challenge for today is themed Portrait so I decide to share with y'all a portrait I made recently and the process step by step

I hope you like it

________ PROGRESS SHOTS ________
I usually make use of the Grid measurements method to draw my portrait whenever I get a commission, it helps get your drawing accurate and will proportioned

After I have finished sketching my portrait, I moved to shading by first shading the shadows of the head and leaving the light part blank with that aim of blending the shadow into the light areas of the face.

There are various ways to blending your drawing, I personally use all based on how I want the outcome to look like, rough or smooth, in this case I used a brush to blend.

Before shading, I use the charcoal pencil to first shade the darkest area of the drawing such a s the pupil of the eye and so on, most time I just use the charcoal pencil to shade the darkest then blend it out to create a gradient look.

Drawing a portrait,I try to first determine my lights and dark, shade them out before blending them so as not to make any mistake in the process of blending.

For the beard, I shading it with the light pencil grade then used a new blending stump to blending it together evenly to avoid having a dark area in my beard unless it's intentional.

This stage is where I started adding my details and highlights with the aid of my monozero, it's an eraser made in form of a pen to help create those tiny light or white details In our drawing, it's a very useful drawing tool and not very expensive.

Last the cloth. I prefer leaving the background or my drawing white to help contrast the drawing itself and make it more pronounce against the white cardboard surface
