Addiction is self-destructive,a thing of the mind, knowing that they're hurting and affects both the present and the future. It seemed so incredibly easy not to do it again. Just stop. It's so simple, really?. But as so often happens with me the pleasure, peace, free minded gotten from it keeps me from seeing the truth of the matter. I see it now though.
Every day, tell myself it will be the last. Every night, as I'm falling asleep in my bed, tell myself that tomorrow I'll stop, I won't do it again or maybe find something else to get me occupied. It doesn't matter where go, as long as stop doing it. I need to get away from from this before it goes even one step further.
And then find my self back at it, and my convictions disappear like smoke in the wind. This cannot end well. That's the crux of the matter, Sweets. I've been down this road before and there's only mental disturbance at the end. It's happening already, and cannot stop it. I'm becoming bitter and terribly resentful on the inside. But if I do what have to do, what my very nature compels me to do, and move on, the end still has a little light in it. Is it not wiser to end it now, Sweets, before it gets to that point? Is it not better to accept that this happiness have is destined to self-destruct
