✍️ Around november last year, me and my wife had the opportunity to visit a small and peaceful temple in mae ai subdistrict. I forgot that we visited this temple last year. Today I have free time and stay at home all day and no work or errands to do today. So I looked at the photos on my smartphone that I took to kill time, today. And found a photo of this temple, so I remember going to this temple last year. So I want to share photos of this temple for my friends to see.

This temple is called wat chaisathan (san khong). Wat chaisathan (san khong) is located highway No. 1089 in san khong village malika subdistrict, mae ai district, chiang mai province, thailand.

When we arrived at this temple, the first thing we saw was the huge and tall temple entrance arch. The entrance arch to this temple is made of wood and has a wooden roof in northern thai style. In addition, there is a brown lion statue on the wall of the temple in front of the entrance to the temple.

As we enter the temple, we will find the temple's sanctuary which is beautiful. But not different from the sanctuary of other temples that me and my wife have visited many temples. And last November, this sanctuary was being renovated. Now I'm not sure if the sanctuary of this temple was restored, Are done yet? Because we still have no chance to visit this temple again.

On the day we visited this temple, we were lucky to see the villagers carving the windows of this sanctuary. Which is a beautiful window pattern and must be carefully carved top. It took us about 10 minutes to see the locals carving the windows. I thought it was interesting and we enjoyed it.

After that, we walk to worship a large white buddha image. This white Buddha image is named phra chao thanjai. Many buddhists in thailand believe that if we ask for blessings from phra chao thanjai, we will get our hopes fulfilled. The area where phra chao thanjai is located also has a bronze buddha image and two white elephant statues.

The overall atmosphere of wat chaisathan (san khong) has many large trees, monks' cubicles and other meditation buildings.
