Review de The Bear: La mejor serie del año. ENG - ESP

I started watching The Bear because of some scenes I saw in a short video, the truth is that it was worth every second. It's not something I've seen in any other cooking series, it's nothing like the food series where the Chef is yelling at his assistants all the time, (although they do spend the whole series yelling and fighting) it's nothing like that.

The series follows Carmy Berzatto, a fine dining chef who returns to his hometown of Chicago to take over the family restaurant, a sandwich stand called The Original Beef of Chicagoland.

Carmy must deal with the death of his brother Mikey, who owned the restaurant, and a team of employees who are not used to his style of cooking.

The Bear hits you right in the face because of the themes it touches, its realism is impressive, it feels like it's almost the life of the cooks, it feels too real, I think that's why it has caught my attention so much, you can identify with the characters, who you come to love and also despise because they are people who do things right but also make mistakes.

What makes The Bear such a good series is its honesty The series doesn't pull any punches in showing the dark side of the kitchen world. Long hours, stress and pressure are constant, and employees are often mistreated by their bosses.

Another strength of the series is its humor. The Bear is a series that will make you laugh, but it will also make you think. The humor is often self-critical and black, but it is always clever and timely. There are characters in The Bear that are a real hoot, hilarious is an understatement.
Carmy's story is one of loss, redemption and family. Carmy must learn to deal with the death of her brother and find her place in the world. In the process, she will find a new family in her employees.

The themes that The Bear touches on are very emotional at many points, I was actually moved by the series, there is one episode in particular that brought a couple of tears to my eyes. The theme of mental health is something that is present throughout the series, suicide is a topic that can also be touched.

The Bear is an essential series I think it is among the best series of this year, I have been recommending this series to all my colleagues, the truth is that it is very good and you should give it a chance.

Some specific points that I would like to highlight of the series are:

• The cast is excellent. Jeremy Allen White is superb as Carmy, and the rest of the cast is also very good.
• The direction is very effective. Christopher Storer knows how to create tension and emotion on screen.
• The cinematography is beautiful. The series is set in Chicago, and the city looks gorgeous.

Comencé a ver The Bear por unas escenas que vi en un pequeño video, la verdad es que ha valido la pena cada segundo. No es algo que haya visto en otra serie de cocina, no es nada similar a las series de comidas en las que el Chef está gritando a todas horas a sus ayudantes, ( aunque si pasan gritando y peleando toda la serie) no es nada similar.

La serie sigue a Carmy Berzatto, un chef de alta cocina que regresa a su ciudad natal de Chicago para hacerse cargo del restaurante familiar, un puesto de sándwiches llamado The Original Beef of Chicagoland.

Algunos puntos específicos que me gustaría destacar de la serie son:

• El elenco es excelente. Jeremy Allen White es magnífico como Carmy, y el resto del elenco también está muy bien.
• La dirección es muy efectiva. Christopher Storer sabe cómo crear tensión y emoción en la pantalla.
• La fotografía es hermosa. La serie está ambientada en Chicago, y la ciudad se ve preciosa.

En general, The Bear es una serie que me ha dejado un gran impacto. Es una serie que no olvidaré en mucho tiempo.
