Easter Visit to the Gardens

Hello fellow Hivians!

Happy Easter aka Jesus 2.0 day!

So a little background first. I no longer live anywhere near family members yet I have spent the vast majority of my life spending every free moment I could with them. My entire family, extended out to 2nd and sometimes 3rd cousins, have always been together on holidays despite not all of the members believing in whatever given custom we were celebrating (my family is super diverse in both beliefs and ethnicity). As such, to observe Easter Sunday I went on a trip to one of the best kept public gardens near me. The views were outstanding and I wanted to share some of them with you all.

Part of the Japanese Gardens. While visiting there was a girl hand drawing the scene from the straight on bridge centered angle which is why my shot is off center of the bridge but I personally was okay with giving more attention to this beautiful tree.

The main attraction for me to this garden is primarily the rose gardens. During April they are in fresh bloom and this garden in particular has more variarities than I have seen anywhere else.

All shapes and colors can be found but I think this is probably my favorite. The colors are just so vibrant and lively it almost seems out of a fairy tail.

According to one of the curators here, many of these roses were transplanted from a local college student's personal garden collection. Its not often you find a young person in university with such a passion for flowers. In fact he mentioned that with some of the varieties brough in, the garden has been able to create a few new hybrids.

While here, there was a group dressed in Victorian style attire more or less taking insta photos throughout and I happened to catch a pose while at the end of the path. I'm far from a great photographer but this was too good to pass up. I feel like it would transition wonderfully to oil and canvas.

Hope you guys enjoyed!

Nice photos! And what a beautiful park and garden! I'm sure I'd spend many hours there photographing the myriad of roses.

We have an arboretum close to us that also has a smallish flower garden but I don't think they're blooming yet. In fact we just got another cold spell :(
