Lennox Head Seaside Village.

Five years ago when I was looking to move out of the city of Sydney, I was looking at buying some where along the northern coastline preferably seaside view and with all the towns, I looked at the two towns that appealed to me the most was Byron Bay, and Lennox Head, I finally decided on Byron Bay, I loved Lennox Head town for it's beautiful charm but it was just to small a town with only a population of about 6,000 people at the time Byron Bay had a higher population and more suited for my type of work so ended up buying in Byron Bay and till today no regrets, I have plentiful work and living seaside.

Really deep down I would have quite easily lived and bought in Lennox Head Town but I figured if I wanted to visit Lennox Head Town it was only a 20 minute drive from Byron Bay virtually next door. Today Lennox Head Town has a population of about 8,000 people and it's still a charming, beautiful laid backed town.

Since I have being living in Byron Bay I have been working in both towns and believe it or not working more in Lennox Head today than Byron Bay the reason been so many more families from Sydney are buying land in the beautiful town and having houses built on the land and with my profession of handyman in the building trade, I can't keep up I have more work in Lennox Head than Byron Bay to do me for a few years so this means I am seeing Lennox Head town more than my town.

The other morning I was driving through Lennox Head town, it had this real deserted town feeling, it was about 6 am the fog was thick, it remind me of a haunted movie but I loved it was so quite you could hear a pin drop everyone was still sound asleep apart from a couple of early walkers on the beach and a early morning fishermen love these tranquil mornings, I felt like going for a jog on the beach myself.

Lennox Head Seaside Village is a great place to live, it has some of the most stunning beaches along the northern coast of Australia, there are many people that would wish to live here, I find the community is always really friendly and welcoming almost like living in the hippie days one tight family community, every weekend the band comes out to play near the beach kiosk while your having breakfast, lunch or just a beer they have a awesome Mediterranean restaurant near the kiosk at the kiosk you can buy coupons up to $100 US for family and $30 US for single person, and also a camper van to serve you coffee and cakes, it's really a delightful weekend atmosphere that everyone can enjoy, they also have barbecue areas around the beach grounds cook your own steaks and sausages while enjoying the music and the sunshine then the sunsets.

It is a very dog friendly town you can take you dog for a swim or walk the pathway along the beachfront enjoying the most spectacular views of the cliff sides the gleaming Pacific Ocean and all the beauty of nature surrounding you.

The beach is constantly patrolled with life savers which makes it a very safe family beach for kids and the surfers. It's just a stunning and friendly beach that even the Dolphins come to play here often joining the surfers riding the waves.

There is certainly a lot you can do around Lennox Head Town their is the Lake Ainsworth were you can have picnics while the kids are swimming in the lake and then there is the Seven Mile Beach on the other side of Lennox beach that stretches out for almost 8 km were you can enjoy some 4WD driving if you are into that something for everyone in Lennox Head Town and don't forget it stunning sunsets while dinning by the beach.

Delightful open spaces to enjoy the seaside towns, photo of the walk down through Pandanus Palms recognized with similar species we have, vervet monkeys love the fruit!

Many more excellent captures found throughout, no wonder you warned me up front this is a difficult task 😄

What an absolutely gorgeous seaside village! I love the pelicans, what characters. Beaches like this remind me so much of our South African sea shores, they look so similar. Absolutely the kind of place that I would put on my list of places to visit one day.

Really lovely photos and they show off the personality of the place. It looks like you had a wonderful time.

Enjoy.

wow!! I know I´m repeating myself but I miss that place so much. Lennox is great, had some fun surf session there and in Ballina, although a bit sharky 😬

Wow!! to be surrounded by so much beauty! I like the way you fit all these tags into one place! :) That takes a big effort!

So many elements in this post that I love, the beaches are to die for, as yours always are. I often wonder, is this paradise? I really like the place where you can let your hippie hair down - and it seems like the dog likes it too!!! Thank you so much for being a part of #MarketFriday! I am so happy to see such an awesome response to the challenge. The response was overwhelming this week, so I apologize for the brevity, It was a holiday weekend and I had family from out of town since Wednesday, so time is not mine. I promise you, I am never this short! :)

#MarketFriday has evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is normal for where you live? These are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I can only hope this to be true.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost?
  3. Post the picture(s) Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post #hive-196308 (this is not required, but appreciated)
    5. Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it
  5. Following me and reblogging the post so more see it would be appreciated !! Not a rule, just appreciated, more vision for more views on your posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.
  6. Please only one post each week. Believe it not, I run out of voting power if you put in many more than that.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
