Monomad challenge entry #130: Boi.re's artsy and dramatic portraits in monochrome.

Last month I created amazing portraits for Boi.re! I think those photos of her launched me into shooting the way I currently shoot.
I shoot really really soft light, or straight up hard light. I've been exploring both lighting patterns in all the photo sessions that came after Boi're's.

Aside from my lighting exploration, I also found a way to make my photos look really soft and dreamy. It's something I've seen a lot of top photographers in Nigeria do, and I'm glad that I'm getting a hang of it.

When I shared the colored variants of Boi.re's photos, I explained how she was a fire accident survivor, and how I ensured to create beautiful photos for her birthday, as birthdays are really really special for survivors of some traumatic events. I'm glad I delivered the goods.

Today's entry for the monomad challenge would see me post monochrome variants of those photos, and just like the colored variants, these ones are banging.

Beautiful work. Loving when the light comes into play. In particular the spotlights.
