MCGI THANKSGIVING SERVICE FOR 3O/03/2024

Deuteronomy 13:3, 1 John 5:3, Matthew 28:20, Matthew 22:37, 1 Timothy 4:7, 1 Timothy 1:18-19, 1 Peter 4:12, 1 Peter 1:3:17, Proverb 3:27,; Galatians 6:10, 1 Corinthians 18:13, Roman 7:12, Roman 10:10, 1 John 5:3.

It was actually a wonderful moment to be God's presents, as we all learned a lot in yesterday's Thanksgiving service, which was held by Brother Daniel. So, brethren, being in God's presence is the best thing ever, so as much as I learned will I express here, it was actually a good time meeting in the Zoom meeting yesterday.

The book of Deuteronomy 13:3 went on to enlighten us why we ought to be humble and loyal to our creator, who made us in his image; hence, in part of the scripture, we are taught to be steadfast while we keep the doctrine of Christ, which is aligned with our faith; hence, on that note, we ought to have spiritual discernment for us to overcome false teaching and deception that comes from the devil and his messengers.

1 John 5:3 went on to back up the previous scripture where we ought to obey God by keeping to his commandment, which has all it takes to lead us through the part of glory; hence, in the order hand, this part of scripture teaches us why we ought to love; hence, loving God ought to be the first thing we need to do while we demonstrate steadfastness in the time of trial.

So trials are mainly to test our belief and commitment, which are mainly to build our spiritual life over the challenges we tend to face in life, and on the other hand, trials are mainly to build a strong hold in our faith as we grow in the spiritual realm in order to make our faith strong. So in the book of Matthew 28:20, let us understand in times of challenges we are passing through that this part of the scripture lets us understand that we are not alone in the time of our struggle, rather that God is with us, provided we are in faith with him.

So according to Matthew 22:37, the love of God that is main to us gives us the foundation on which we ought to build our spiritual life; hence, it is expected of us to prioritize building a good relationship with God over tapping into his grace and reward of being righteous. So brethren is necessary to practice our spiritual life, which is righteousness over our neighborhood; hence, doing all this builds us spiritually, which sustains us during challenges or trials.

So let us persevere and keep to our integrity in times of trouble. As the book of 1 Timothy 1:18–19 says, we need to fight a good fight and not a bad one just by holding unto our faith where God is because he is the only one who can save us when we are weak over our challenges. Hence, as we keep steadfastness, let us not forget to share the gospel of Christ, which is the main reason why we are here on earth today, as 1 Peter 4:12 encouraged us.

Moral Lessons

■ 1 Peter 1:13–17 encouraged all of us as believers to remain steadfast in the midst of our trials, as well as to live and maintain our spiritual lifestyle.

■ Proverb 3:27 According to this part of the scripture, it teaches us the need to be generous and the need to be kind and helpful when our brother or sister is passing through the truth and difficulty of life.

■ Galatians 6:10, according to this scripture, encourages us to do good both within our believer family; hence, as our doctrine implies, we are always good as believers in Christ.

■ 1 Corinthians 10:13 teaches us about the need to rely on God's strength because he will be there to save us during the time of trials; except him, no one will be able to do what he can do for us.

■ Romans 7:12 teaches us that we ought to keep to doctrine, law, and guild, which is the word of God, which is there to protect and put us through things when we lack the knowledge, even in the midst of trial, it can put us through.
