Forgive and Forget
This is one of the best topics I have ever come across, which emphasizes the relationship between forgiveness and love; hence, the caption "Forgive and Forget," taught by Brother Eliseo F. Soriano, has taught me the reason why it is hard for people to forgive one another.
Forgiveness is the thing of the mind that has to deal with forgetting what so ever someone has done to you, which only comes when there is love in between the two. That is the reason the Bible tells us in 1 Peter 4:8 that we have to love each other as we love ourselves because love covers a multitude of sins.
The simple truth in this caption taught by Brother Eli is that where there is no love, there is always hatred, which brings unforgiveness which is hard to forget as a human, so this verse has to bring love into the scale of preference for every believer to be of this, just to embrace forgiveness whenever someone goes against us, as God has done for us by just seeding his son to redeem us from our evil ways just because of the love he has upon us.
The book of Hebrews 8:12 has let us understand that love and forgiveness are divine, which implies that man has to embrace them alongside divine mercy, which is all regarded as the transformative force that brings forgiveness, which goes a long way to change things in the life of a man. Hence, we are all encouraged to be of this approach towards forgiveness.
Roman 11:33 gave a reflection over the nature of God's wisdom, which is far beyond man's comprehension, which entails that his participative toward forgiveness is far beyond what man can imagine, which implies we ought to do as much as we can to retain forgiveness with ourselves, which comes through love, in order to please those we have faith in.
Brethren, it is now high time for us to learn what love is all about, which goes a long way toward creating space for forgiveness, remember when you love someone, it is easy to forgive his or her trespasses, and the other way around, when there is no love, it is always hard to forgive, so to be of Christ and to inherit the kingdom we are promised, we have to be of love as Christians.
Understanding all this creates space for good relationships between us and God, which as well keep us close and retain our dignity as Christians who are of the same faith with God; hence let us be cautious of the manipulation of the devil over what we do instead of denying the love we have for one another.
● Divine Forgiveness: This is what is expected from every believer, which implies that there is no believer that excels without having love within himself, hence, we need to emulate love as God has done to us.
● Human Forgiveness: As we forgive, there is a need for us as believers to forget it without bearing grudges within our hearts, which call for reconciliation among men.
● Emotion: We have to allow the emotion that governs love to reign in us, just as we are expected to let the negative feelings from human hurt evaporate from us.
● Spiritual Renewal and Growth: This taught us forgiveness, which has to do with forgetting the past things that hurt us, which opens and paves a spiritual growth for us.
