Just Why??

Greetings People!

Last month, a lady in my country decided to put her name in the Guiness Book of Records by undergoing a cookathon exercise for 96 hours (initially) to break the record set by an Indian chef that had 87 hours.

She began the journey and attracted the support of many in the country. She reached 96 hours and decided to make it a good figure by adding another 4 hours to it, making it 100 hours.

The world congratulated her, and some dignitaries and companies gifted her some goodies.

She was yet to be announced by the Guiness Book of Records for holding such an honour, then a lady (a Nigerian) popped up and began her cooking marathon, which she's targeting at 120 hours to beat the 100-hour record holder.

Why Now?

Why didn't she do it before now?

Does it mean that she just realised that she can cook for a long time?

Why is she turning the cookathon into a Nigerian competition?

I don't care who's sponsoring her; all of them are 'oversabi'!

It's so bad how we do just anything to be there, not minding how it'll affect others.

You may say, "This life is all about competition," but must it be done this way?

Since it has turned into a Nigerian competition, I'm seeing that once this current lady is done setting her record at 120 hours, another person will come out with 150 hours, and it continues like that till everyone gets tired, maybe at 1,000 hours.

Mind you,
I don't have interest in these people (the 100-hour and the soon-to-be 120-hour holders), naaah! I'm just pained on the irrelevant within competition. Yeah, it's totally irrelevant!

I remember having a conversation with a lady from the state of the 100-hours holder; she said ever since the lady from her state broke the record, the dowry of ladies from there has increased.
I wonder what will happen now that another person is trying to beat her record🤣

I drop my keyboard 🙌

I think that’s the nature of those records. People are looking for ways to get some fame and it’s pretty straightforward to cool for 120 hours. She might not achieve it but we shall see.

I think it’s a good thing to compete like that, because the two ladies are not lazy!

I got what you said bro.
Competing to beat a record is good, no doubt but this particular one has turned to deep jealousy.
Anyways, all competitors harbour jealousy 😄
