Indeed these two appears to be connected. I believe it is due to the institutional interest. A sell off is likely to affect the two but the other way round doesn't usually follow through due to the perceived risk. The stock market still retain more trust as it is less volatile when compared to crypto
The correlation between the two is connected because they have something in common analysis the market price it have but crypto deals with the inflation and definitely of price where is it not stable every minutes but it's progressing lately
