Attending My First Military Wedding

I have always heard about military weddings and even watched a few movies about some but I had never had the opportunity to attend one until a few weeks ago.
A few weeks ago my sister informed me that we would be attending a wedding of her friend and I was totally elated because I would be attending my first military wedding.
The groom was an air force officer while the bride was a civilian and they had met through mutual friends, immediately kicked it, and months after, they decided to tie the knot.
The whole event was pretty amazing and very colorful but my favorite part of everything was when his colleagues raised swords for the bride and groom to pass through it.
I had an amazing time at the wedding and I can't wait to attend more weddings in the future.

I remember years back when I was an event decorator, I was opportune to witnesses a military wedding and I was in awe. It was exquisite and fun for me, I almost wished to get married to a military man one day but I don't think I want it anymore.
The attire of the couple looks like that of an Edo culture, am I wrong or wrong? Lols...
It made me also consider it also but I am not ready for that life, truly a beautiful event.
The attire is that of Ijaw, but I guess it is pretty similar to Edo.
Tell me about it, the military wedding.
The groom wore a ceremonial uniform or suit?
He wore a ceremonial uniform.
Everyone looks fabulous, I expected to see a more "dull" (no offense intended) setting with everyone being super serious being military n all, but I guess you can't be too solemn in a time of union and celebration.
Well Nigerians like colour so regardless it has to be colorful.

Were you part of the bridal train??
I wasn't part of the bridal party, just accompanied my sister.
It was pretty fun, maybe one day you will get to attend one.
