Fabric printing my own tags or having too many good ideas

Having a good idea is only 1% the other 99% are actually doing, initiating and executing this very good idea.

And in my life there will probably never be enough time and energy to even nearly bring to life all the ideas I have.

At times this can be overwhelming and stressful.

At others liberating and inspiring.

It definitely helps to focus on the things that really are important to me. Instead of spreading all over the place. Just because an idea is good, doesn’t mean I have to do it.

Nevertheless, it happens, that I start things and abandone them. On the attic of my parent’s place for example.

Even though I really enjoy decluttering and only keep things that truly inspire me, at times I get inspired by a lot of things, too many.

Recently I went on this aforesaid attic and went through a suitcase of good ideas. Finished and executed ones in one corner, and in another angle sketches and started projects. Good enough to keep, but not important enough to be made all at once.

Passing objects and drawings though my hands…

…I found some attempts of myself carving “Kesityu”-stamps.

Since I was carving and printing in those last weeks, the stamps jumped in my eye together with some very old fabric-paint, that I never threw away, since I suspected a few of them to be still usable.

I gave them both another opportunity to get out of the suitcase.

Why not making my own tags, handprinted?

...choosing some fabric and cutting out little squares

...once the little squares are done...

...preparing, paint, brush, stamp...

...applying paint to the stamp...

...take the stamp

...place it on the fabric

...lift the fabric

...reveal the print.

Thank you all for stopping by, I really enjoy sharing my stories with you! Have a lovely week!

PS: Of course I also printed some Tags on linen fabric. And made some color experiments, but lets keep it simple. And I leave you with this one last impression...

(all photos and subjects are my own, made and taken by me)

That's a smart idea printing your tags on fabric and it looks great!🙂
Have you carved the stamp on your own?

Thank you!!💕
Yes I did, it is carved in some sort of rubber, but I think I will make an other one soon. I am not super happy with the writing, in some prints you could barely read it, which is not so much the point of a tag hahah

Oh nice that's really creative, great idea!😀
You might need a harder material or something in order to look more clear dunno.
