” Blackbirds tend to like Shiny Things” ~ The Bloody Raven

Yes, even I am getting tired of wearing a cheap suffocating mouth gag in public even after having been fully vaccinated. I have yet to contract the virus and my unit is rated as a low-risk environment. How quaint, I get a little sticker to slap on my forehead. At last things are finally opening and hope our lives can continue to move forward. Now, back to my shtick.

As a health care provider, it is incumbent of me as a member of the Hive #silvergoldstackers community to document practical and supportive treatments to ease the symptoms and adverse effects of onset and pernicious Stackitis/Stackitus as it takes its course in it’s various identifiable forms.

Disclaimer: This is not to be construed as medical, nor God forbid, financial advice. I’m just a nurse with a dark sense of humor that likes to stack gold, silver, and crypto currencies as a diverse off-the-grid savings portfolio. Got it? Good.

I seldom find a medically themed poured silver art bar, but Nyssacat373 recently sourced this silver bar from a UK Stacker named Stacker Queen. There isn’t much of an IG personal description, “…just a gal who likes to Stack, pour, cast, and collect.”

Stacker Queen’s FK Covid Poured silver BAR

Looking back at her posts tells a story of fantastic, limited edition, poured silver art bars long before I began to follow her.

The red felt lined mahogany box is a nice feature only when I place this closed on the coffee table as a conversation starter with my work colleges.

She has been quiet for the last five months with no further news on her latest works. I can only hope she is okay.

Relevant with the times and a pretty cool bar huh?

Update: According to Nyssacat373, "...Stacker Queen contracted the virus but survived without any lingering effects. She lives in England with her Cat and after recovering she took a job as a public servant and hasn't poured anything since this..."

A Review of some Real world uses of Silver in Public Health

And some Bonus Silver too

Since I will focus on the health aspects I will be extracting from a very recent article from The Visual Capitalist. “Silver Through the Ages: The uses of silver over Time.” A marvelous and well researched article by Blackrock Silver published on June 30th, 2021, providing an infographic styled overview of the long history of silver. I do recommend you take the time to read the entire article.

Doc Bullion Silver Injection Vial.

PB1
Even before the Middle Ages, people began to recognize silver’s ability to reduce food and water borne illness by fashioning their utensils, cups, goblets, food containers etc. from Silver long before the discovery of bacteria. Silver coins were dropped into jugs and barrels of water or milk was found to delay spoilage and kept fresher longer.

Caustic Silver Nitrate pencils are designed to treat warts and ulcers.

The development of silver sutures used by surgeons markedly reduce inflammation bought about by infection. Even I have personally applied Silver Nitrate solution on post-surgical and wound care patients in the home care setting.

PB2 Silver Specimen Bottle
Though there are antibiotic treatments for Infant bacterial conjunctivitis it can also be treated by eye drops of Silver Nitrate solution and minimize dependency on antibiotics.

World War 1 soldiers and medics carried silver leaf dressing into battle to help reduce wound infections.

Silver Disulfide crème is developed into a topical application on burn wounds to prevent infections.

Doc Bullion Argentum Capsules

PB3
NASA develops the microbiological water purification systems that employ Silver ions to purify water aboard it’s spacecraft. An application that now commercially and publicly available.

Some Laundry detergents use silver nanoparticles use to eliminate bacteria in fabrics and clothing.

Vital Environmental control air conditioning using special Silver-Copper filters to eliminate air borne bacteria.

I feel that this article just scratches the surface of the multitude of silver applications in the healthcare discipline. Many more possible applications can be in development outside my usual medical hangouts such as Berkley and John-Hopkins medical faculty that are difficult to keep track off. As expected, pharmaceutical companies will always keep a lid on development that we don’t know about as akin to military secrets.
IF it has something to do with Infection control, silver will likely be mentioned even in whispers.

Got Silver in your financial and medical first aid kit?

Thank you for coming by to read my post today.

And a special thanks to Nyssacat373 for these wonderful gifts! 💋 💋 💖

Silver is amazing when you think about it, you can also make coils to purify water which I may have a go at some point

This makes me wonder to what extent such water purification technology has been implemented in the Third world where it is needed most.
The positive results and benefits would far out weight the large proportion of patients suffering from Cholera and dysentery with Health clinics and aid stations resources stretched thin already.
Just saying.

There is so much more to come and to organize into Posts. Lot's of research.
He keeps reassuring me that I deserve these gifts when we chat. He even shared with me one of my favorite Gothic band songs from The Cure.
He not only helps me fill out my theme collecting but also finds some useful information and facts to compliment my writing.
What a gentleman.

Always, with a nurse's Love 🤗 🌺 💖

A very nice piece of shiny to add to you collection and aptly themed as well!

As for silver medically.......We have made colloidal silver since about 2008 and I have used it for years during normal cold and flu season. It's kept me healthy. I also add it to saline solution utilizing that for nose drops and between orally taking colloidal silver and the nose drops, I believe that is what has kept me healthy all through the covid year plus......

Take care sista, and have a lovely week!💜🤗🌻

I saw a Youtube video on how to make colloidal silver but never got around to actually making it. Sourcing the .9999 fine silver wire is the real trick.
It would come in real handy in my first aid kit, and have I got a comprehensive first aid kit.

Thanks for dropping in @elizabethbit 🚑 😷 💊 💉

Hey @kerrislravenhill! We us .9999 wire to make ours; it's much, much cheaper to make it, as around here, it runs about $19.95 for just 4 ounces! We make a half a gallon each batch for pennies! It is a perfect fit for your first aid kit. You should do it! Take care sis!💜🌻🤗

With silver playing an integral role in future of medical technology, one day we will be saying,
"Lick a silver coin today will keep that sick Bill Gates away!"

Thanks for the comment @silvertop 😲 😉

Lol!!!🤣
Silver is a very interesting metal @kerrislravenhill, silver conducts heat, cold and electricity very well. One time I was lucky enough to find a sterling silver bowl at Goodwill. I tried the experiment of putting an ice cube in it, and it rapidly melted the ice cube. Faster than a normal metal bowl just amazing......
I think I need more Silver!!😇

My Stacking is light this month as all my major bills hit me in a space of 40 days, Property Taxes, Home and car Insurance etc. all coming due. But I am prepared for it and not borrowing any cash.
Prudent shopping and proper budgeting can almost make bills disappear!
