What a terrible experience no one should endure yet such behavior is so prevalent in every society. I have a friend that confided to me about her Husband often inflicting verbal and physical abuse upon her. A day came when she could no longer tolerate the abuse and I offered to house her and her sons away from him until she was able to acquire Advocacy protection.
Somehow he discovered that she was living in my rental suite and I had to literally stand between my friend and her big angry husband. I stood my ground as she called the police. It was a scary moment I can't forget.
