”Blimey, ahh wins aguin!” ~ Lt. ‘Erris Ravenhill o’ th’ Silverton

A few years ago, I signed up, Sae t’ spake, as a Deck Hand aboard the Frigate Silverton. At the time she was somewhat undermanned, but Keptin (Captain) Joshua Gavin Slane considered my experience with the Stormcrow Privateer and was progressive enough to accept me aboard so long as I am capable of my assigned duties.

Personally, I was interested in learning some native Sassenach. A wonderfully colorful language with it’s own charming phrases, grammar and construct that formed part of the foundation of Pirate language. The Keptin will always be accommodating by providing a Landlubbers Sassenach/English glossary. By the way, ‘Speak like a Pirate Day’ is September 19th.

The Prize!

Well into my second tour and now promoted to Lieutenant I feel that I did not disappoint in my duties while under the steely gaze of the Keptin. And the receipt of this fine silver coin was a thrilling formal acknowledgment.

As a Third time winner, I feel that I should retire from future prizes for fairness to other participants. How do you participate? By commenting of course, better yet assume a role in the Adventure! After all, it’s an interactive blog.

Tis a wee coin so I will place it next to a 1 Oz Silver Britannia 2 Pound coin

She’s fine war ship built for speed and maneuverability carrying a significant firepower for her size arrayed on a single deck with Chaser guns on the quarterdeck and forecastle. Three Masted with a full sail plan with a shallow draught gives her the speed. A crew compliment of up to 100 not including Marines and passengers.

I recall you winning a Prize from the Keptin too, all you need to win was to comment to participate. You know I like to Role play and because of that I've won 4 prizes since. Feels rather embarrassing to achieve that almost by default, we'd like to see more members get on board and spread the goods around.

Always, with love 🤗🌺❤️

It's my 4th prize! I was simply participating in the Keptin's Interactive blog either by commenting, upvoting, or role playing in the Adventure and play pirate.
And you know I like to play Pirate, Thanks Sis @elizabethbit

I've wondered on the specs on the Silverton.
36 Guns, 18 pounders technically suggests a bigger frigate and a larger crew but I'll go with that. A hanky Sair?
