I tried it when i needed to swap some BTC from my exodus wallet to some HIVE for this new account. It worked flawlessly. First time using it and was surprised how efficient it was.

Interesting. What are advantages/disadvantages that you are aware of compared to using large exchanges like Binance or Coinbase? Sorry if this seems obvious.

  1. I don't go anywhere near any exchange that does KYC (demands government papers)
  2. I don't like custodial exchanges - where they get the crypto and all you have is an IOU account, which they can lock you out of any time (like Binance & Coinbase)
  3. If you create an account, you're creating more of a paper-trail (and custodial exchanges always require an account.)
  4. Binance was part of the hostile take-over of Steem
  5. Coinbase gives ALL their records to the government

Thank you for your candid answer. I recently had a bad experience with Newton, a large Canadian exchange, which made me realize the importance of keeping my keys in a private wallet and keeping the minimum on exchanges. I have been looking into decentralized exchanges ever since, even though I am not 100% convinced they are better. You have certainly given me some food for thought. Appreciated.
