Seeking Recognition? You've got to be willing to learn and pratice ...

To get a deserved recognition in whatever you are doing, I suggest you focus on observing the due process of learning and practising all that you are learning.

That comes first before any other thing.

There are a good number of people out there who put in the right effort and work with a high level of resilience. More often than not, they hope to be seen for whom they are and they want to be recognized as best employee of the year, the best artist of the year, the best footballer of the year, best content creator of the moment, Name it!

No kidding, I understand that we all want to be recognized for doing something great. The same way we recognize the work of an expert is how we want to be recognized in our niche. That's a good thing - as far as we also recognize the need to follow due process in our quest for recognition.

You do know that when an amateur begs for attention, it usually ends with criticism. Eh?

You may not have noticed, but whenever an amateur aggressively craves attention and recognition, they appear to be like a headless chicken. That's a harsh comparison. I know! But, there is no excuse for incompetency. It becomes worse when an incompetent person fails to recognize the fact that he/she needs to mellow and learn the ropes.

Such people always see themselves as if they are on top of the world without realizing that their aggressive quest for recognition only shows their flaws and exposes them to criticism. I can assure you that most of those won't count as healthy criticism.

If you are in this category, you may think that you are ready to take any criticism that will be thrown at you. You may also be right, but there is always a more reasonable way to get recognised. Instead of leaving yourself at the mercy of critics due to your aggressive attention-seeking technique, why not try something else?

I'd know of a technique that would save you from being seen as a laughing stock.

Here is the good news;
The recognition you seek is not far-fetched!

Of course, it all starts with the desire to grow beyond your current knowledge level. This is where learning comes in. If you learn and subsequently practice what you are learning, you will expose yourself to the right people that will recognize you for who you are.

I didn't mean to throw shades. My intention has always been to make it clear that when we force people to give us attention, we appear to be like an amateur who runs wild with an inflated ego.

  • Don't be as loud as an empty vessel just because of your aggressive quest to get recognition.
  • Be real.
  • Be you.
  • Consistently learn and practice all that you are learning.

That's a better approach to life as a whole. It saves you from a lot of unnecessary drama. It also aligns you with the right people that will appreciate you and all your stand for.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

Little word is enough for the wise. When digested it should be useful

Such is life. Why don’t we just stay humble to deserve some respect than to go after the worse things of life and deserve disappointment and discord

-The best thing is not to wait for recognition, do your thing according to what you could only afford, never mind whatever others will say negatively, accept that you are not the best, so you have the chance to improve yourself for the better but never compromise on your well being. Unhealthy competition is not good, be competitive is more appropriate, for us to have self-improvement. As, for me, my problem is the time element and my health. No matter how great, knowledgeable we are, we also need to know our self-limits, for us to perform well. Anything executed with rushing things is not good, we should also learn to set Our priorities for us to manage everything well, without compromising anything!

Thank you for sharing these awesome posts Sir kene!

Have a blessed morning!🙏

Thank you again @aimharryiane for your fabulous contribution to the topic.

When we accept our level of know-how, it makes it a lot easier for us to stick to learning what needs to be learnt. It doesn't have to be rushed because it only exposes us to loopholes which are never good for anyone that wants to gain recognition.

I would say that we all need to set our priorities right in order to achieve long-lasting success

Wise words!

True I agree with you. To be yourself is to show the world the stuff you are made of, to learn more is to acquire more knowledge so people know what is upstairs and through that people get attracted and recognize you.

But when you make noise with nothing to offer, people criticize. You have to actually have something to offer, something good, something that is involved with evolution.

Yeah... Daalu.

The recognition we want can come at any time. It's always preferable to be well prepared for it by equipping ourselves with the best grade of pratical knowledge about our niche. This makes it easier for us to have sustainable growth via any recognition that will come our way.
