Life Hack | Why should I hesitate to express myself?

It feels like more people are beginning to bottle up a lot of things.

Both the things that need to be said and the ones that need to be expressed by our actions are no longer brought to light. Fear of how people will react to our words and actions are currently making it hard for people to express themselves the way they ought to do it.

This makes me wonder if we have all forgotten that death can knock at any given moment.

What is the essence of all the hesitation?
What are you afraid of?

For me, I have no doubt whenever I say that this world is both complicated and simple.

Just a few days ago, I witnessed an incident where a young man was lamenting about an awkward superstitious experience he is having. According to him, he sees his dead brother before he goes to bed and as soon as he wakes up. This has been his lifestyle since the death of his brother.

Nope, he isn't responsible for his brother's death. As the story goes, he said that they both collaborated to do a business that fell apart and subsequently caused a crack in their relationship. This was so serious to the extent that they stopped communicating with each other.

You know how it is.

All relationships often have their moments of madness. The same thing applies to the relationship between brothers. From his expression, I can already tell that what transpired between them was an ugly collective madness. None of them wanted to be the first to apologise. They also didn't acknowledge the attempt made by their friends and relatives to resolve the conflict.

Lo and behold, his brother died while the whole conflict was still on.

(Let's assume that he died a natural death after all, I didn't hear anything about autopsy whatsoever).

Now, the living is feeling the pain of losing a 'loved one'.

As if that's not enough, he is currently living with guilt. The guilt of not making effort to reconcile with his brother while he was still alive. Do recall that he also sees the dead brother before he goes to bed and as soon as he wakes.

Hmmm... I have no idea how that feels. The expression on his face and the things running through his mind are a bunch of unprintable expressions.

You get the gist. Right?

Despite all the complications that exist on Earth, I have already figured out a way to make it very simple for me as far as Interpersonal interactions are concerned and I will share this tip with you.

  • Firstly, when you are thankful, express yourself.

  • Secondly, when you mess up, apologize.

  • Lastly, always show affection to people you love.

That's literally how my life is.

Life is way too short as it is. Why should I hesitate to express myself?

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

Thanks for the reminder.

It hurts so much when you realize that the people you had a conflict with are gone, never to return again.

Him seeing his brother everyday is a manifestation of his guilt. Good luck to him tho.

It's hard to imagine how it feels to be living in that condition because of his failure to reconcile with his brother.

Pride is always in play whenever misunderstanding arises and such issues arises, but we need to overcome our pride and express ourselves.

Pride is a very big barrier to certain things in this life.

People lose opportunities because of it and honestly, we all have it in us but it depends on how we handle ours.
