Is there a noble reason for your inactivity? Time to have a dose of my medicine

Setbacks are normal but picking up where we left off and adding more momentum to what we are doing is very important. This is where a piece of motivation is needed by everyone. Yeah, everyone needs motivation. Everyone!

lightbulb-3104355_640.jpg

Motivational speakers are not exempted from this.

Ever since I started this writing and remote work thingy, I have been able to publish a ton of motivational contents. I have also been with people in DM, voice calls, and video calls, trying to create a solution to any issue related to lack of concentration and personal growth as a whole.

I find it interesting to do this whenever I get an opportunity to do so. It also feels good to see people feeling better about themselves after picking up one or more tips from my two cents. What I didn't see coming is the fact that these words I used to motivate people will come back to look me straight in the eye. Daymn!

And so it begins!

On this lazy Saturday evening, after my short adventurous trip to my Barber's shops, I sat down to review my performance over the last few weeks. This is something I should have done earlier but somehow, I just overlooked it till today. Now that I'm recounting my steps, it has become more obvious that I have been slacking off. For good reasons of course, but I'm not here to make excuses.

I have been quite busy in my head,

brain-954822_640.jpg
Drawing plans, adjusting them, dealing with obstacles, and all whatnot.

In a normal scenario, I wouldn't see this as a problem, but it's currently disorganizing me and I feel rusty anytime I try to do stuff in places like Hive. It would have been nobler to say that I'm dealing with writer's block, but that's more like an excuse. My inactivity has nothing to do with writer's block whatsoever. It's happening due to a lack of motivation.

Now, that's a very bad situation for anyone in my shoes to be experiencing. I can't afford to slack off at this early stage of my life. Thinking about it scared sh*t out of me.

Time to have a dose of my medicine

I've never had an issue when it comes to reminding myself why I started this content creation journey. I tend to be very blunt whenever I critic my work and my performance. Today is indeed a good day to do so. A good day to sip from my cup of motivation.

I have already checked some of the posts I published on my Hive profile. While I was reading them, I got to see more reasons to bounce back to being active once more. Active in the comment section, reading and curation contents that suits my taste. I also want to be active in the post editor, writing and adding my two cents to the pool of contents on the hive.

I have to make it known that as I try to reignite my vibe, it feels more like judgement day. Who would have known that I can also be my best motivator?

That sounds cliche but it's the truth.

C'ya

A nice article, actually being inactive simply means setback and of which setback can happen to anybody things doesn't always go as 100% as planned in a quest to achieve a successful goal or to attend a greater height definitely there must be setbacks and obstacles and the ability to get up dust yourself and move back on track mix you unique and different. Actually motivation should come from oneself consistency and determination breeds improvement and success

Sometimes when will plan to be active, one thing or another may come as a constraint and negate our plans.

I'm well aware of this, but I've decided to step things up and see how it goes. I've got to rise above all this setbacks

😂 I really need a dose of that medicine too.
Most times, I just feel dissatisfied with whatever I'm drafting and delete it off, then gradually it became a norm. The kind of feeling like, argh, this ain't for me! or this doesn't suit my style! paved the way for less activities. 😔
Perhaps, I'm in need of motivation to be back on my feet, tidy up the dust and rust and get things running. 🙂😊

-Good morning Sir Kene! Another very nice article from you!. Hehehe Sometimes no intentional reasons or simply no reason, Just natural circumstances, like for me, nothing changes on my side, it's just that my data expired early last night for some reason so I didn't have the choice and in the daytime, I need to finish Nico's enrollment requirements yesterday, his things, because I got sick a few weeks ago, that I need to comply with some of the unfinished projects. It's very much needed on Monday. I was sleepless the other night and need to have even a few hours of sleep in the daytime. It's not a double talk it's an actual happening. That's why sometimes it's also not good to do some interpretation and assumptions to every word. Sometimes on my side, it's the wrong interpretation of people that makes me lose my confidence in myself that I feel like I need to follow how others format on writing a blog or I truly don't know how to write a blog that is why I am always misunderstood. Do you know the feeling that you are not doing any changes or mistakes and being judge wrongfully? That was what happens in my previous job. Last night I tried my best to create posts, a Bible verse, regarding some issues on a man who abuses women, like what I have commented David Bright's posts, but I did it in a dignified way. But I don't know how it's interpreted! Sometimes we also need to do a good interpretation or must I say proper interpretation, let's think that aside from our job on making our work here, some things happen in our house in the family that we need to face and resolve..that's why sometimes we failed to do the things we planned to do. Sometimes it's the wrong judgment that affected me so much, that even if I'm not doing any changes like what I'm seeing all around, I m getting surprised ... it's shocked me. Hehe. Well,it's just a thought, relevant to your article not just a noble reason, but a normal life reason that sometimes beyond our control. I wish you a blessed Sunday!🙏

Have a blessed Sunday too and thanks for pouring out your heart here.

When it comes to people's perception about what we do and the level of effort we put into it, what I always say is that they do not have the right to judge us because they don't know exactly what we are going through.

Honestly speaking, there are really some factors that are completely beyond our control. I would say that it is left for us to try and strike a balance so that we won't end up giving up on our dreams just because of lack of motivation

Who would have known that I can also be my best motivator?

What can be better than drawing from your own strengths. I like the fact that you're not giving excuses and just owning up.

It's good you have your motivation back. Happy engaging and hope to see more from you!

Hahah... Making excuses is just not my style. I would rather face my worst self and speak to myself than to feign ignorant of my shortcomings.

Happy Engaging to you too ✌️

I tend to be very blunt whenever I critic my work and my performance.

Maybe just critique your work instead of critic ...it's more evaluating and less critical :) And don't be too hard on yourself. I think you're doing great.

Woww... this language is surely kicking me on the spot 😂.

Thanks Ma. I'm so excited to be getting this review. I just compared the two words and I don't think I will be forgetting this anytime soon.

Thanks Ma

so many words with similar meaning. Often hard to know which to choose.

Hahaha... This is where it becomes very important to have a native speaker around. Thanks Alot for pointing out these common errors.

Of course, I will always try to learn from this. It's a good way to get better.
