It’s been six months since certain events took place in the country, and well, as I’ve been telling you, the economy hasn’t improved at all—on the contrary, the dollar is unstoppable. Of course, I know that a country’s inflation doesn’t improve overnight; however, they’ve injected a lot of money into the public banking system, and nothing is slowing down the exchange rate. Suffice it to say that by the time December rolls around, it could be at 800 bolivars per dollar. I’m guessing here, and I might even be underestimating it—on the day I’m writing this blog, the exchange rate is 563.28 bolivars per dollar. Meat prices had gone down a little, but they’re already going up again. Anyway, what I’m getting at is that I was taking a stroll through the supermarket.
The detergent section really surprised me, since a 900-gram bag can cost $4 to $5, and some brands aren't very good—they damage clothes. however, there are clearly smaller packages that cost $2 to $2.50, but of course that depends on how many people are in the household. Dishwasher detergent ranges from $2.30 to $3.14; similarly, there are many brands, and choosing the one that best fits your budget is key. There’s also competition for precooked cornmeal; before, there was only one well-known brand called “Harina Pan,” which is its brand name. It costs between $1.90 and $2. Pasta or spaghetti, as we call it here in my country, ranges from $1.98 to $2.17, depending on the weight as well. Tuna costs $1.22 to $1.81, and mayonnaise—a must-have for small salads—is $1. 58 for a large one, 2.35, and if, despite everything, you look at it and say, “Well, it’s not that expensive,” but when you add it all up, you stop buying many things that in previous years you would have prioritized—focusing on what you really need—since the bill is often high and you don’t buy meat or chicken. Wages remain the same, and transport operators have raised fares pegged to the dollar, with a different price every day. The mental fortitude needed to stay here is enormous. Hola a todos, como andan espero que excelente por aquí un recuento de como están los precios en el supermercado más cercano quédate para contarte más.
Han pasado 6 meses desde que ocurrieron ciertos eventos en el país y bueno como les vengo diciendo la economía no ha mejorado nada en absoluto al contrario el $ imparable y claro yo sé que la inflación de un país no mejora de la noche a la mañana sin embargo han inyectado mucho dinero en la banca pública y nada que frenan la tasa de cambio, con decirles que antes que llegue diciembre podría estar en 800 bs por dólar yo calculando aquí capaz me quedo corto para el día que hago este blog se cotiza en 563,28 bs por $ la carne había bajado un poquito pero ya de nuevo subiendo, bueno a lo que voy estaba dando una vuelta por el supermercado.
La sección de detergentes que me dejado sorprendido ya que una bolsa de esas puede costar de 4 a 5$ la bolsa de 900 gramos y algunas marcas no son tan buenas dañan la ropa, sin embargo claramente hay de menos gramos y puede costar 2 a 2,5$ pero claro eso depende cuantas personas sean en un hogar, lavaplatos entre 2,30 a 3,14 de igual manera muchas marcas y elegir la que mejor se adapte al bolsillo ese las llaves por excelencia es bueno, la harina de maíz precocida de esto también hay competencia antes solo había una conocida como harina pan que es su nombre artístico, se encuentra entre 1,90 y 2$ la pasta o espagueti como le decimos aquí en mi país 1,98 2,17 dependiendo los gramos también, atunes 1,22 a 1,81 la mayonesa que no puede faltar para ensaladas pequeñas 1,58 grande 2,35 y si a pesar de todo al observar dirán bueno no esta tan caro pero sumando todo dejas de comprar muchas cosas que años anteriores darle prioridad a lo que realmente necesitas ya que muchas veces la cuenta es alta y no llevas carne ni pollo, los sueldos siguen iguales y los transportistas aumentaron el pasaje anclado al $ todos los días un precio diferente, la salud mental que se necesita para seguir aquí es enorme, espero pase todo esto ya estamos agotados, espero que les haya gustado mi relato.
