Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. Wishing you a week full of good things. Here I will tell you about my experience trying a trendy appetizer in Venezuela. If you want to know more, then stay tuned and I will tell you all about it.

You might say, how trendy can an appetizer be? At first, I said the same thing, but it turns out that I always saw a woman dedicated to cooking on social media, and not only that, she cooked for people with limited resources. She is a Venezuelan influencer and also has Lebanese origins. Her name is Surthany Hejeij, and she decided to launch her own brand of Pringles-style chips, but these are called sweet potatoes. Some people had already tried the product and loved it, but it wasn't available in any stores here yet. Then my sister went downtown and told me she found the product, but there wasn't much left, so I took advantage of the opportunity to buy some. The price is $2.75.

She managed to buy two containers, one burgundy-colored one that is characterized by saying “very Venezuelan,” with a corn and white cheese flavor. In theory, it tastes like cachapa but is tasty. It also reminds me of some Lays potato chips that had cream and onion flavor and were discontinued. The salted ones are very good and don't leave your palate feeling greasy, which really caught my attention. I was reading on Instagram that apparently they sold out of their entire inventory and won't be able to restock for another two months. I don't know how true that is, but here, in particular, that was the only place we could buy them for now, so the product was a complete success. I'm glad that this type of investment exists in the country, and there are still flavors to try, such as cheddar cheese, cream and onion, cream and garlic, jalapeño, hot pepper paste, adobo, and the two already mentioned, for a total of eight flavors.
