Holy Week In The Rio / Semana Santa En Río [ENG-ESP]

Hello, everyone.

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing great. My Holy Week was great—besides going to Mass, we went to the river. Let me tell you a little bit about it.

Honestly, I think Holy Week is a time to stay home and rest if you have a few days off. If you have to work, I’m not saying people shouldn’t go out anywhere, but speaking for myself, I don’t like going to places during peak season—I prefer it when there aren’t many people around. Plus, accidents and other unfortunate things always happen. Here in my city, sadly, a 9-year-old boy drowned, but anyway, last Sunday—which was the start of Holy Week—we went to a nearby river called La Grandiosa Muralla; the owners are Asian. It’s fine for a relaxing day out.

Even though I’m more of a beach person, I at least enjoy going to the rivers. Of course, my sister was there, though she had to leave again. But those were special days we’d been missing—we went with some neighbors at 11 a.m. and came back at 5 p.m. My nephew was excited when we took him; he was younger then, and that made up for him not being able to go to the beach with us. We couldn’t miss out on a good Polar beer—that never fails to please a Venezuelan, no matter where we are. That wristband was valid for a pool they have there, but we didn’t have time to go there. the important thing was to live in the moment; my sister felt comfortable and kept capturing photos. No matter where we go, we have to be grateful, since there are still many people who would like to go to the beach or somewhere else but can’t because there are always obstacles. I hope the days of abundance return so we can do different things and not just work to eat and survive. I hope you liked my story; see you later.

Hola A Todos.

Aunque yo soy más de playa disfruto al menos ir a los ríos, por su puesto estaba mi hermana aunque ya se tuvo que ir de nuevo, pero fueron días diferentes y que hacían falta nos fuimos con unos vecinos a las 11 am y regresamos a las 5 de la tarde, mi sobrino estaba emocionado cuando lo llevamos estaba más pequeño, y eso compensaba que no pudo ir con nosotros a la playa, no podía faltar una buena cerveza polar esa no falla en ningún lado para un venezolano, ese brazalete era válido para una piscina que ellos tienen allí pero no nos dio tiempo de ir allá, lo importante fue vivir el momento mi hermana se sentía cómoda y seguía capturando momentos fotográficos, sea a donde sea que vayamos tenemos que agradecer ya que aún hay muchas personas que quisieran irse a la playa o otro lugar y no pueden ya que siempre surgen inconvenientes espero vuelvan los tiempos de abundancia para hacer diferentes cosas y no solo trabajar para comer y sobrevivir, espero que les haya gustado mi relato, nos vemos.
