Blog #200: Explore Valencia: The Sheintan Ridge View at Purok 5, Valencia, Negros Oriental

Happy Friday Hivers!

Staying in my room with no one whole day made me feel bored. So what I did 2 days ago was I inquired if how much would it costs when I hired a driver/tour guide that would convey me to Sheintan Ridge View because I wanted to do an outdoor activity. To breathe fresh air and get sweat were the things I wanted to do 2 days ago.

After he gave me the quotation, I found it costly for 1 tourist attraction only so I texted my friend, asking her if that cost would be okay for one tourist attraction, her comment made me decide not to pursue with that certain driver/tour guide.

I was delighted when @franzpaulie told me that she would also want to do an outdoor activity because she felt bored at home. Since she has her own motorbike so we both agreed to visit one of the famous tourist attractions in Valencia that is situated in the mountainous area.

When I went to Casaroro Falls, I passed by at the Sheintan Ridge View, I wanted to also visit it however, I was ran out of time. It was already past five in the afternoon that we finished so it made me decide to visit it another time.

As we entered at the main gate, we've noticed no one. Our laughters broke the silence at the main gate of the Sheintan Ridge View. After my friend placed her motorbike in the safe area, we slowly started to hike on the elevated concrete road. That time, I felt the afternoon cold breeze while hiking going up. The breeze was totally different from the City.

We hiked around 1 kilometer from the main gate of Sheintan. I haven't noticed that we were already arrived because we've enjoyed photo taking, chatting, and sight seeing.

As we ascended going to the restaurant and viewing deck, I've noticed that the surrounding was full of flora. Have you found it beautiful? Yes maybe for some because we've found it helpful to rejuvenate us. Someone like me who loves flowers; greenery; forest or nature in general could hardly deal life's issue without this kind of scenery once in a while. Atleast once in a while, we were able to attract positive energy from the nature.

We climbed to the higher part of Sheintan. Sweats were already spread throughout my body and I could already feel that the back portion was already got wet.

I was delighted since that was one of the thing I wanted that day to get sweat.

Before we went to the viewing deck, we pay first for our entrance fee. The entrance fee is just affordable.

Since the area is elevated because it is in the mountainous part so it is surrounded with mountains as well. My scenery that time was full of greenery. It was really great.

Because of this wonderful scenery that the nature gives us, one of our topic that time with my friend in our random conversation was about how Valencia LGU's seriously look after the goodness of nature.

Valencia was voted as the greenest and cleanest municipality of Negros Oriental in 2007 according to the locals. So that's the reason why I fell in love with this place.

I have visited Valencia town many times already but my heart is always looking forward to keep coming back.

My friend was my tour guide that time because she visited the Sheintan Ridge View many times already. This is also one of her favorite spots in Valencia because she really loves nature.

After we enjoyed the wonderful scenery, we went down to dine because my friend had not yet eaten her lunch yet. It was very late lunch for her because it was already past 4 in the afternoon.

I also ordered food for myself, I had very early dinner that time. I ate a lot because I lost my energy while climbing the mountain and stairs 😂😂.

Because we both enjoyed talking, we haven't noticed the time. It made us shock as we checked the time, it was already 5:00 in the afternoon.

We hurriedly got up and went home because she had a class that would start around 6:00 in the evening.

But unfortunately, she was not able to attend her on-line class because we were tempted to capture photos as we descend.

Honestly, I was guilty because I was the reason why she was absent but she scolded me because I should not feel that way, she added that she also enjoyed the outdoor activity that we had that time.

That was my experience in Sheintan Ridge View. When I am with the nature I could really feel that there's something postive energy attracts on me. I felt rejuvenated after I spent my whole afternoon there.
