Blog #138: The Power of Curiosity Leads Me To Mint My Own NFT

Happy Friday Hivers!

This afternoon, I came across the post of @galenkp about his weekend-engagement. Actually, I have no planned of publishing a blog about this little learning that I got this morning but since I've found it fit to the weekend-engagement topic hosted by @galenkp so I created this blog.

I've read about NFTs many times already. It usually appeared on my Twitter and Hive feeds. But I didn't spare time to look at it and study what that stuff is all about.

Until one day in a certain Group Chat, the topic of the conversation was about NFT. At first, I thought it was only focus on paintings and I told myself nah I can only draw a tree and a doodle of a person and that's it. Since I thought it was only for the painters/artists I didn't give a time to do a research of my own and didn't study how it works.

My less interest of NFT has swept away and has slowly replaced with curiosity when I read an article about The 22 Year-old Indian Who Mkes a Million Dollars Selling NFTs. That's the time I started to read more about NFT posts because I realized that I can still mint my own NFT though I'm not into painting.

I don't know how to do the minting. I tried it yesterday but I gave up because I feel lazy to explore the opensea and the metamask. This morning was different. The curiosity pushed me to learn how to do it. I asked a friend to guide me since my knowledge about it was absolutely zero. I was not shy while I admit it in the Group Chat (lol).

I was grateful to a friend who guided me along the way. I already have a metamask wallet but I don't know how to use it. So my friend instructed me the things that I needed to set up before I can mint my own NFT. He instructed me to add a polygon network in my metamask wallet first so I can post it in the opensea for free. Aside from a friend's guidance, I also made a research and watched a video tutorials just to broaden my knowledge about it. And finally, my NFT was already listed.

This was just a proof that the power of curiosity will absolutely leads you to an amazing things. Out of curiosity, my knowledge about cryptocurrency has now slowly leveling up because I keep learning, asking, and researching.

How about you guys? What are the things or the thing that made you curious today? What did you do about it? Drop a comment below.

Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!

When you want to do something which you are finding difficult to do, you don't need to keep quiet but you must ask anyone who can help you out. This is what you have done out of curiosity.

You have been willing to know how to go about this NFT and now you know it all just out of curiosity.

We should not be shy or else we will loose it all.

Yeah, in case we don't know how to do it, keep asking to those who are expert on the field and of course DYOR also. Thanks for dropping by.

One of these days I'll work out what an NFT is, or not.
