MATERIALES:

  • Tela POP azul marino.
  • Tela POP amarillo.
  • Tela POP roja.
  • Tela POP blanca.
  • Silicón frío.
  • Palito plástico para globos.
  • Lápiz de color blanco.
  • Cutter.
  • Tijera.
  • Lápiz.

PROCESO:

Happy and blessed day to all my readers.

Today I want to show you how I made a small version of my country's flag for a cultural event for my niece Ashley. She loves to dance and is studying dance and among the dances scheduled was a traditional dance of my country corresponding to the genre "llaneras" and required that each girl member of the dance had her own flag. Her mother quickly called me and ready, I went ahead and made it.

The intention of the flag was the dance, however, so that it could be used for any other cultural or school event, I decided to make it in fabric so that it would last a long time. Although the original flag has a coat of arms, for reasons of time I could not do it.

We Venezuelans love our homeland, and although it is currently going through historically difficult times, we always find a reason to feel proud to have been born in this land, magical and resilient by nature.

Without further ado, and hoping you enjoy the work done with love, I leave you the materials used, the process and the images of the work.

MATERIALS:

  • Navy blue POP fabric.
  • Yellow POP fabric.
  • Red POP fabric.
  • White POP fabric.
  • Cold silicone.
  • Plastic balloon stick.
  • White color pencil.
  • Cutter.
  • Scissors.
  • Pencil.

PROCESS:

  1. Mark and cut the yellow and red fabrics in rectangles of 7 centimeters wide by 30 cm long. Two (2) yellow and two (2) red.
  2. Mark and cut the blue fabric into two (2) rectangles of 6 cm wide by 30 cm long.
  3. To the yellow and red rectangles, mark on one of their longest sides, one centimeter wide from the edge inwards. Mark preferably with a white pencil so as not to mark the fabric too much.
  4. Place the rectangles in the correct order of the colors (yellow, blue and red) and glue them together. The blue color being the smallest (6 cm) will go over the yellow and red colors, and will be glued on the edge of one centimeter marked on the other two colors, leaving all the rectangles in 6 cm.
  5. As the flag will be made in a double layer, repeat step 4 with the other rectangles and then glue both layers together. When gluing, do not glue the edges of the left side where the plastic stick will be placed.
  6. Place the plastic stick in the opening and fix by applying silicone. Join the edges well.
  7. Mark and cut sixteen (16) stars in white Pop fabric and glue 8 stars on each side of the blue stripe, glue in a curved shape.
  8. Ready, enjoy the magic of what you have created at home, representing our patriotic pride.

Saludos.
