Los actos culturales son manifestaciones que están y estarán presenten en cada rincón del mundo, promoviendo difundiendo y celebrando las expresiones artísticas, costumbres, tradiciones y conocimientos de una comunidad, enriqueciendo y fortaleciendo la identidad cultural de los países.
El turpial, es un ave que en Venezuela simboliza la identidad y la riqueza natural, este ave representa la belleza, la diversidad y la resistencia del país, así como también la libertad y la armonía entre el hombre y la naturaleza.
Para un evento escolar, Luisangela una ex compañera laboral, me pidió que le ayudara a elaborar unas alas y mascara para un acto en colegio que tenia Valentín, su hermoso hijo. Pues como saben, adoro crear cosas , es una actividad que me llena de paz.
Sin más, y esperando disfruten del trabajo realizado les dejo los materiales utilizados, el proceso y las fotos del trabajo realizado.

Cultural events are manifestations that are and will continue to be present in every corner of the world, promoting, disseminating, and celebrating the artistic expressions, customs, traditions, and knowledge of a community, enriching and strengthening the cultural identity of countries.
The turpial is a bird that symbolizes identity and natural wealth in Venezuela. This bird represents the beauty, diversity, and resilience of the country, as well as freedom and harmony between man and nature.
For a school event, Luisangela, a former co-worker, asked me to help her make wings and a mask for a school event that her beautiful son, Valentín, was participating in. As you know, I love to create things; it is an activity that fills me with peace.
Without further ado, and hoping you enjoy the work, here are the materials used, the process, and photos of the finished product.
- Black POP fabric
- White POP fabric
- Yellow POP fabric
- Thin yellow cord
- White bond paper
- White chalk
- Black marker
- Scissors
- Cold silicone
- Hot silicone
1.- De acuerdo al tamaño de la persona, (en este caso es para un niño), se diseña la forma en el papel bond, considerando el ancho y largo, y se recorta.
1.- Depending on the size of the person (in this case, it is for a child), the shape is designed on bond paper, considering the width and length, and then cut out.

2.- Teniendo el patrón recortado en el papel, marcar sobre la tela negra con la ayuda de la tiza blanca toda la silueta. Luego recortar la tela negra según el diseño.
2.- With the pattern cut out on paper, trace the entire outline onto the black fabric using white chalk. Then cut out the black fabric according to the design.

3.- La pieza negra recortada será la base de las alas, a estas se deberá pegar el cordón amarillo por el borde y doblar para que el mismo quede oculto y bien sujeto a la tela.
3.- The cut-out black piece will be the base of the wings. Glue the yellow cord along the edge and fold it so that it is hidden and securely attached to the fabric.

4.- Para crear las capas de las alas se tomará como guía el patrón de las puntas de la plantilla en papel bond, y se recortaran varias capas de blanco, negro y amarillo para darle así dimensión a las alas.
4.- To create the layers of the wings, use the pattern of the tips of the template on bond paper as a guide, and cut out several layers of white, black, and yellow to give the wings dimension.

5.- Se van pegando las capas intercalando los colores, tratando de simular la imagen de referencia, pero termina siendo a gusto personal el orden que se le dará a los colores.
5.- The layers are applied, alternating colors, trying to simulate the reference image, but the order of the colors ends up being a matter of personal taste.

6.- Para terminar el acabado se le pasa tiza blanca por los bordes de la tela negra y opcional, marcador amarillo a los bordes de la tela blanca. ¡Y listo!, alas listas para una acto cultural lleno de mucho color y aprendizaje para los niños estudiantes.
6.- To finish the look, apply white chalk to the edges of the black fabric and, optionally, yellow marker to the edges of the white fabric. And that's it! The wings are ready for a cultural event full of color and learning for the children.
