Hike#60: Thaynes Canyon Trail

avatar

This one was so brutal. The one time I felt that a trail wasn't entirely worth it. Beautiful views, yes! But not only was it rough But incredibly dangerous. After going up incredibly steep areas, We realized going down would be crazy hard. So we found a second way back and figured since it was longer, we'd be okay. But it ended up having slopes and super thin trails instead. Making us almost regret our decision. At one point, we both found a tick on our arms and had to remove them. I thought we wouldn't make it back down. It took hours to get back. And of course, a lot of random thimbleberries were growing in.
