Los gemelos Pedro y Pablo eran jóvenes adolescentes practicantes de deportes, aunque también les gustaban otras disciplinas más espirituales…..
Decidieron inscribirse en el Gimnasio, Luz Radiante, porque reunía en un mismo local todo lo que esperaban practicar: gimnasia, pesas, aparatos como caminadoras, trotadoras, bicicletas y al mismo tiempo yoga, taichí y meditación.

Este gimnasio era muy famoso en la ciudad donde vivían. Se lo habían recomendado tanto familiares como amigos. Así que decidieron inscribirse en el mes de agosto. Asistirían todos los días a partir del mes de septiembre. Además tenía la ventaja que quedaba a 10 minutos de la casa donde vivían, por lo que se podían ir caminando sin ningún problema.

El primer día en el gimnasio probaron todos los aparatos. Seleccionarían los que usarían durante la semana. Había un orden establecido. Tenían que apuntar la hora y el tiempo que usarían en cada uno. De esa manera todos los usuarios tendrían su tiempo reglamentario.

Ya decididos comienzan a establecer sus nuevas rutinas de ejercicios. Transcurrido un mes intentan descubrir nuevas amistades. No todos les caen bien. Hay un señor mayor gordo y gruñón que siempre les reclama y grita aunque no hagan nada malo. Ese lo descartaron de inmediato. Pero se topan con otros tres jóvenes contemporáneos que tienen intereses similares y deciden entablar amistad con ellos.

Todos los días hacen ejercicios juntos. El mayor del grupo, Andrés, les comenta a sus amigos que, en el salón más apartado, se reúne gente que practica yoga y taichí.

Deciden todos ir a ver si pueden asistir a una de sus clases. Efectivamente sí pueden. Aquí se encuentran con gente de diferentes nacionalidades.

Aunque la mayoría tienen el español como su idioma, materno, desean conocer otras culturas. Los curiosos gemelos observan a dos chicas, espectacularmente hermosas, practicando taichi. Se dirigen hacia ellas, una habla castellano pero la otra solo habla ruso. Inés, la que habla castellano, hace de traductora.

Inés es oriunda de España y los chicos de Colombia y Venezuela. Aunque hablan el mismo idioma hay palabras que en un país son expresiones ordinarias del lenguaje, mientras que en otro son consideradas obscenas.

Un sábado por la tarde, después de salir del gimnasio, se reunieron todos a merendar. Samuel se comunica con la rusa, Dasha, a través de Inés. Al terminar a Dasha le cambia la cara. Inés no entendía el por qué. Pues bien en esa traducción Inés se confundió y dijo algo que la rusa, consideró una ofensa. La increpa a Inés para que le diga quién comentó eso. Inés le señala a Samuel. Inmediatamente se levanta Dasha y le estampó a Samuel una cachetada que sonó durísimo.

Samuel no entendió nada. Lo único que deseaba, en ese instante, era saber el idioma ruso para comunicarse directamente con su linda Dasha. Quería explicarle y preguntarle al mismo tiempo……tantas cosas…….

Se despidieron pero, debido a ese incidente, Samuel decidió estudiar el idioma ruso en un instituto que quedaba en las afueras de la ciudad.
De esa manera no tendría más inconvenientes con las traducciones…….por su amor frustrado en el gimnasio….volvería a intentarlo todo de nuevo…...

They decided to enroll in the Gymnasium, Radiant Light, because it brought together in the same place everything they expected to practice: gymnastics, weights, equipment such as treadmills, joggers, bicycles and at the same time yoga, tai chi and meditation.

This gym was very famous in the city where they lived. It had been recommended to them by family and friends. So they decided to sign up in August. They would attend every day from September onwards. Besides, it had the advantage that it was 10 minutes away from the house where they lived, so they could walk there without any problem.

The first day at the gym they tried out all the equipment. They would select the ones they would use during the week. There was a set order. They had to write down the time and the time they would use each one. That way all users would have their regular time.

Once they had made up their minds, they began to establish their new exercise routines. After a month they try to make new friends. They don't all like each other. There is a fat, grumpy older man who always nags and yells at them even though they do nothing wrong. They dismiss him immediately. But they run into three other young contemporaries who have similar interests and decide to befriend them.

Every day they exercise together. The oldest of the group, Andrés, tells his friends that there are people who practice yoga and tai chi in the most secluded room.

They all decide to go and see if they can attend one of their classes. Sure enough, they can. Here they meet people of different nationalities. Although most of them have Spanish as their mother tongue, they want to get to know other cultures. The curious twins observe two spectacularly beautiful girls practicing taichi. One speaks Spanish but the other only speaks Russian. Inés, the one who speaks Spanish, acts as a translator.

Inés is from Spain and the boys are from Colombia and Venezuela. Although they speak the same language, there are words that in one country are ordinary expressions of the language, while in another they are considered obscene. One Saturday afternoon, after leaving the gym, they all get together for a snack. Samuel communicates with the Russian, Dasha, through Agnes. When they finished, Dasha's face changed. Inés did not understand why. Well, in that translation, Inés got confused and said something that the Russian considered an offense. She rebukes Agnes to tell her who said that. Agnes points to Samuel. Immediately Fedora stood up and slapped Samuel, which sounded very hard.

Samuel did not understand anything. The only thing he wanted, at that moment, was to know the Russian language in order to communicate directly with his beautiful Dasha. He wanted to explain and ask her at the same time ...... so many things ........

They said goodbye but, because of that incident, Samuel decided to study Russian language in an institute that was in the outskirts of the city.

That way he wouldn't have any more problems with translations.......for his frustrated love at the gym....he would try everything again......
