Earn passive LEO by delegation: PHASE 2 of my experiment
It was a week ago when I wanted to try out ways to delegate LEO and receive passive income.
This was originally asked by a friend, but I thought that it could be useful information for me too.
Therefore I decided to use the new dapp by Leo - LeoFi (https://leofi.io) and to compare it with the @meowcurator - a curation account that offers leo in return to delegated $leo.
You can read in more details here what I did, but in short ... I decided to delegate 100 LEO to @meowcurator for a 1 week and also delegate via leofi, an equal amount (it was 99,99 LEO - because it is a set amount) for 1 week with also a set APR of 11.51%
At the moment the average APR through leofi is appx 9% and the maximum is 13.28% - but this could change in the future so do keep an eye on it :)

So today, I decided to write down all my earnings the past 7 days and these are my findings!
leofi delivered the same amount on a set day, every day, while the @meowcurator amount was different on a per day basis (higher in this case) and also delivered in different times of the day
I am not sure how the apr is defined at @meowcurator -

Apparently the earnings were bigger with @meowcurator - and in fact an impressive 36,80% higher
This of course only for this specific experiment, this by no means constitutes of financial advise, neither do I recommend it - not before checking out the leofi site in case there will be a higher APR!
I should mention here that I earn appx 3 LEO per week for delegating 500 HP to @leo.voter and I also earn appx 0.20 LEO as curation rewards per post (which I love doing because I love reading new content :))

I love passive income from many of the Hive dapps …. 3 LEO (.90 cents) per week is pretty good…
I would also convert some LEO to SPS and Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) and send to Splinterlands …

Delegation or Leasing are indeed two good options to spread the use of your tokens and passively earn from them. Once LeoFi will enable the other second-layer tokens, I think that's when this app will truly boom and also boost all the communities from here. Another good option is to delegate to @amr008 project and his dedicated community accounts for returns. Nevertheless, such use cases bring some action to the entire Hive ecosystem!

Very nice return ! Definitely a good option to lease LP
There is also the engagement project run by @amr008. If you delegate LEO, you get LEO in returns but I think the returns are slightly better than delegating it out because he does add in some of his author rewards as well.
