Sewing an Origami Wallet, tutorial / Cosiendo una Billetera Origami, tutorial

🇺🇸 A big hello to this community. It is the first time that I publish in #NeedleWorkMonday, I have seen many works. wonderful and beautiful here.

I want to share with you a purse or wallet that I have named "Origami Wallet", because of the times the fabric has to be folded before sewing it. It is literally a project that is done in 10 minutes, it is a practical and perfect wallet to store money and documents.

The materials you will use to make it are:

• Fabric of your choice 75 cm by 22 cm
• Press stud
• Sewing machine or needle and thread

To start the wallet, we put the fabric on a flat surface with the wrong side up. We take the end of the right and we fold a section of 10 cm, depending on the type of fabric it will be enough that you mark the fold with your hand, if it is not well marked you can do it with the iron.

In total, bent 4 times: once upwards, once backwards, upwards again and a last time backwards.

Make sure you see an unfolded piece of fabric and two folds. Secure with pins and put the piece right side up. With the opposite end, you cover the entire piece of fabric. This is the time to put the buttons or sew an ornament so that the seams are hidden. Secure well with pins and sew only on the sides.

Once the piece is sewn, cut the four corners so that it is not too bulky when turning. Remove the pins and turn, you can help them with a pencil so that the corners are well removed. You will see two pockets, the one at the back you will also turn it over, in this way the opening will be hidden.

Button the wallet and iron well to set the seams and folds. Done! A wallet with two compartments, comfortable and fast. Hope you liked the "Origami Wallet".

🇻🇪 Un gran saludo a esta comunidad. Es la primera vez que publico en #NeedleWorkMonday , he visto muchis trabajos. maravilloso y hermosos aquí.

Quiero compartir con ustedes una cartera o billetera que yo he bautizado " Billetera Origami", por las veces que hay que doblar la tela antes de coserla. Literalmente es un proyecto que se hace en 10 minutos, queda una billetera práctica y perfecta para guardar el dinero y documentos.

Los materiales que usarás para hacerla son:

• Tela de tu elección de 75 cm por 22 cm
• Botón de presión
• Máquina de coser o hilo y aguja

Para empezar la billetera, ponemos la tela sobre una superficie plana con el revés hacia arriba. Tomamos el extremo de la derecha y doblamos un tramo de 10 cm, dependiendo del tipo de tela bastará que marques con la mano el doblez, si no queda bien marcado puedes hacerlo con la plancha.

En total dobladas 4 veces: una vez hacia arriba, otra hacia atrás, hacia arriba nuevamente y una última vez hacia atrás.

Asegúrate de ver un tramo de tela sin doblar y dos dobleces. Fija con alfileres y pon la pieza con el derecho hacia arriba. Con el extremo opuesto cubres toda la pieza de tela. Este es el momento de poner los botones o coser algun adorno para que las costuras quede escondidas. Aseguras bien con alfileres y coses únicamente por los lados.

Ya cosida la pieza, cortas las cuatro esquinas para que no quede muy abultado al voltear. Retiras los alfileres y voltea, puedes ayudartencon un lápiz para que las esquinas queden bien sacadas. Verás dos bolsillos, el que se encuentra hacia atrás también lo volteras, de esta manera la abertura quedará escondida.

Abotona la billetera y plancha bien para asentar la costura y los dobleces ¡Listo! Una billetera con dos compartimientos, cómoda y rápida. Espero que les haya gustado la "Billetera Origami".
