MARGARITA ISLAND FLEA MARKET

avatar

🇺🇲 Happy Friday to all hivers friends. This is my first time posting to this amazing #MarketFriday community.

I live in Venezuela, on the beautiful Isla de Margarita. Here it is common to see second-hand sales of all kinds of things throughout the city, but every Sunday a large Flea Market is set up in a vast open space as this type of sale is commonly held.

There is something for everyone, from car parts or any electronic device, through bicycles, toys, furniture, clothing, shoes, books, paintings and many interesting art or collectibles.

In this market you can not only find all kinds of used or second-hand things, they sell many new items that are made or made by small entrepreneurs who carry their beautiful merchandise of swimsuits and beachwear in general.

In the same way you can find various types of food, such as different types of fruits and vegetables of the season. Because we are on an island, it is common to see stalls with a variety of fresh fish in this flea market. Sometimes you can also see other types of meat, such as pork. Let us remember that it is a popular market, which is generally visited by residents of nearby areas, many of them, the most assiduous, are also fishermen.

What strikes me the most, and I really enjoy it when I visit this place, is seeing the scenes that unfold around the stalls, the dynamics of buying and selling, the atmosphere, the people with their characteristics and peculiarities. Watching and gazing is definitely one of my favorite things about this flea market.

Thank you for joining me, visiting my blog, reading and supporting me. Have a wonderful day full of good energy!

We've the exact sameee markets in our country as well. We call it the 'itwaar bazar' translating to Sunday Market. I think places like these are the best to buy stuff. Economical, a lot of variety and good quality stuff as well.

Welcome to #Marketfriday! This was such a fun post! I love this little island and there is another one close to it, no? I spent time on Bonaire, very close, but, no cigar! A lot of islands sell second-hand items, the goods are readily available and in good shape most times. It makes great sense. I always love the thrill of the hunt.

Do they have trouble getting goods on the island or is it going well? There are things we have trouble getting since Covid, perhaps those days are ending? I am fascinated by the flea markets and yes, you find the most interesting people there!

I think it is important that you know how much I appreciate the time and effort put into posts. Thank you for your participating in #MarketFriday! I enjoy learning about your world and how it is to live in it. I find it interesting to compare standards, but, more than standards, by how we find the quality of our life with different indicators that the world does. It is not always about the wealth in money, but includes many other things including being as healthy as possible, being educated, but, not necessarily in school. I feel like a person is educated if they aquire knowledge and use it for the better good and happiness of the society they are living in. It is with great pleasure that I read through this and all of the posts, with these thoughts in mind.

I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to get to know you and your piece of the world just a little bit better. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, I especially love the small things in life and make a point to give them notice. Life has been interesting for me this week, and I hope your week has found you happy and healthy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.

I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world. Please take the time to read a couple #MarketFriday posts and leave a genuine comment behind. It is important to interact within the community, allowing for others to bond with each other. The fun is in getting to know people and making a positive contribution to community life. I am pretty sure that is why I joined Hive. All this fun and money too. What if not to love?

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service. It can be a movie, an auction, or even a museum. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or product.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive? Did it go up or down? A scroll of pictures with few words doesn't usually work.
  3. Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post, it is too difficult to guess about some.
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
  5. Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
