Artists, for instance, can be both perfectionists and slobs. They are perfectionists when it comes to their art but slobs when it comes to keeping things tidy. I'm sure this isn't limited to artists. Some people can perfectionists when it comes to things that matter to them , and so concentrated in those things that they become slobs in other areas of their lives.
