My Life In Color on Pink and Purple Tuesday (9/6/22)| HIGHLIGHTING THE COLOR FOR THE DAY

I share with you today another edition of My Life In Color - Highlighting the Color For the Day. I love working with fractal art and other digital images. The array of color I see is inspiring in all aspects of nature, water, landscape, and the sky.

The idea for a challenge based on assigned colors was originally the concept of a former Hive member. Since I love digital drawings, I decided to create my own version of the colors assigned to different days. It isn't a challenge; only images in my collection.

For Tuesday my color choice is Pink and Purple. The remainder of my color days are located below in my color chart.

I discovered that according to Color Psychology, Purple and symbolizes luxury and power. This color is comprised of red and blue. The words for purple can be found in several languages, including purpul in Old English; purpura in Latin; and porphura in Greek. The Greek version supposedly describes a purple dye manufactured in Tyre during its classical era ranging from 8th century BC to 6th century AD. During that period, the color purple was renowned for its durability. Instead of fading in sunlight like other colors, purple would cast a brilliant glow. Some scholars have also suggested that Phoenicia itself means “land of purple.” ¹

When I think about colors in my own life, I think of how I decorate children's rooms with these colors. I don't necessary utilize pink or purple in my designs. However, they are beautiful colors to work with in art.

If you love abstract art, then Bomomo is the perfect application for you. Its unique drawing tools provides a set of specific patterns. The various colors are produced when the tool moved across the drawing board. With this program, you can produce images in various geometrical shapes and patterns.

Nvidia Gaugan

Nvidia Gaugan is a generative art program. Beautiful landscapes can be produced with brushstrokes. The program utilizes a drawing canvas where you sketch your design. Different tools are available for drawing land, water, and sky elements.
