At The Expense Of | LET'S MAKE A COLLAGE: ROUND 93

Welcome back everyone. Hope you're having a good weekend. It's time for me to create my design for the Let's Make a Collage ("LMAC") before the deadline. My theme for this week's participation is: Devastation. What will happen to the animals and will they survive if it it does occur?
We talk about the effects of climate change on the human population. But what about the totality of the animal species? Our climate is changing. Some of the causes is due to natural manifestations. However, humans contribute to this event also. Changes to the environment in the animal kingdom, I feel, will partially cause the extinction of some specifies. This will be due to the shifting of animals from their normal environment as they attempt to cope with the changes in their environment. Some won't survive.
The fact that animals, especially birds, are already producing offspring earlier, hibernating animals rouse sooner than they normally would, and plant species bloom earlier. As far as nesting animals, their beaches they depend upon to breed and raise their young are eroding. This is primarily caused by rising sea level. 1
In other words, the natural migration patterns are being thrown out of cycle. Currently, the threats these animals face now from the devastating effects of natural disasters happening more frequently, will certainly place a decline on their future generations. According to Climate and Weather, extinction is indeed possible for a quarter of land animals, bird life, and also plant species. 1
I can only imagine if any future devastation of a catastrophic nature would occur, will there be any survivals in the animal kingdom.

To create my scene of devastation as it affects animals, I started with the photograph with unusual images included that was provided by @shaka in his contest post: Let's Make a Collage - A Contest for All Creatives on Hive - Round 93 - ✨210 HIVE in the Prize Pool!

I located a foreground for the contest photo. I enjoy perusing the previous contest photos provided by @shaka, especially since many are landscapes and can be adapted for other scenes. I wanted to incorporate a scenic water element, so I chose LMAC Round 89 contest image. The bottom portion fits perfectly with the current contest photo to provide balance.
Utilizing prior LMAC contest images is a great way to incorporate other landscapes into your current collage project without utilizing outside sites.

For compiling my theme, I uploaded both the contest photo and the prior contest image into Canva. There, I manipulated the images to create a seamless environment of landscape and water.

The background removal and filtering tools I used, available to me as part of my Annual Pro Membership Subscription, was extremely helpful.
Another program, Deep Dream Generator helped to create the scene of devastation I desired.

Finally, I added the following images. The animals underwent a filters to show changes in their make up if a catastrophe were to happen.

We were kind of on the same wavelength with the animals/birds for our collage. :))
