Camping Club Hive Community Contest 12 Theme: Childhood Memories, My Entry

Hello everybody,

Thank you @visionaer3003 for this contest, this is my first time to post, though a silent reader. I find the theme of the contest fun, reminiscing the past.

My most memorable when I was a child were these playing with my playmates climbing the trees, any kind of trees.

Climbing and running then play hide and seek. We even experienced climbing a tree with many ants our skin was hurt. My mother pinch my ears and told me not to climb trees anymore, while rubbing my swollen skin with Vicks vaporub. But, hardheaded me after how many days, I climbed the trees again. Ha ,ha,ha...This made me smile.

Another incident, our neighbors goat was eating grasses. I rode on him, I made him like a horse. Imagining I was horse back riding holding the rope tied on the neck of the goat.

Whoa, the goat maybe was surprise what's on his back, ran fast as he could, and dumped me on a muddy grasses that made my t-shirt and shorts full of mud. Oh, my mother again shouted calling me, scolded and pinched my right ear again, her favorite part.

When showery day, my girl playmates we harvested red gumamela which was planted at the back of our house.

We pound the petals and placed it on our lips making it as our lipstick and our eyelids to make it red as an eyeshadow. Then, we got a mirror looked on our face, laughed and laughed. Then, my mother furious again because my white shirt spotted with red, hard to washed the clothes. Again, my right ear was pinched.

Lastly, the sea swimming time.

When I was 11 yrs old, we transferred to a new location. Our rented house was just walking distance from the seashore. During weekend, after breakfast together with my brother, we went to the sea for a swim. We swim and swim until afternoon. No lunch. Even, the noon sun was sizzling hot, we didn't mind. We were sunburn but we didn't mind. We really love the sea. Memories I can't erase up to now.
