Sometimes, I crave good coffee.

Living in the province with fewer options makes me miss the city life where almost all cravings are satisfied with the many options just waiting for a screen tap, hello Grabfood and FoodPanda! So when we heard that the local bakery here shares their latest products which include coffee, my husband and I decided we should try it out especially since we were sleepy that one afternoon.

It was already four in the afternoon that time when we decided to go out and check Sticky Buns Cafe. I have shared this place before with some portraits of our little one because we often come here for their cookies, fortunately, they make good chocolate chip cookies and my little one would ask for one during his snack time so we hoard a few of their Php 25 cookie.

Now that they offer coffee, we were both excited and ordered their iced Spanish and Classic Latte and a slice of their chocolate cake. Matti asked for nothing but cookies. He loves seeing the cakes around but would not eat except for their cookies.

Sticky Buns also offer frappes and non-coffee beverages, they actually started with a take-out stand for milk tea so they still do offer those today. The shop has some renovations going on so I believe that in a few months from today, they'll have a separate cafe right next to their bakery store. I can't wait and I hope it has a good ambiance too!

The coffee was good and I like that the sweetness of their classic latte didn't overpower the taste of coffee. Indeed, we are glad we now have good coffee available in town! That afternoon, we went around the ricefield area and witness the afternoon scenes in the province - burning dried leaves is a normal scene, some would even burn their rice husks right in the field which is usually done in the late afternoon until the evening. It's still harvest season here, most of the ricefields are now empty, the land is already dried up and it's this time of the year that I remember back when I was a child, most if not all of the neighboring children would be out in the field flying kites.

That night, I couldn't sleep and I knew it was the caffeine, next time, I'll make sure to have Stickybuns coffee in the early morning instead!
