Whenever you are dealing with prospects, don’t be on the defensive in attending to their objections, be on the offensive by being proactive. 1. Can I Trust You, can customers trust your personality, how does your appearance speak?

This should probably be the top question on your prospective client's head. If a customer doesn’t Know you, Like You and Trust you, you may find it so difficult to buy from them. So how do you build trust, I know it's built over time but a salesperson doesn't have all the time. Your appearance speaks volume as a salesperson, the old saying “the way you dress is the way you will be addressed “ still hold today. Dress well, smell nice and look good. Build rapport with your client to help lower the guards a little. Then leverage social proof to gain more trust and confidence. If you have worked with individuals or companies at the same level as your prospect flaunt it, it helps build credibility and trust. Remember no one will blow your trumpet. You have to do it yourself.

2. Can I Trust Your product to solve my problem or meet my need?

Every potential customer has a need, they all have a pain point and your target as a salesperson should be to solve their pain point or problem through your product or services. If your product or service will not solve their problem don’t be desperate just to sell. Gladly refer them to a product or service that will meet their need. I’m sure you will be glad you did in future. Remember ethical selling. Ensure your product value proposition is not compromised in any way.

3. Can I Trust your delivery and payment channel?

Today we are blessed with multiple payment channels, you should make the multiple channels available to your prospect. Some people are not comfortable with using their cards for online payment, make sure to provide other means of payment for them, and don’t compel them to use any payment channel. Delivery men have messed up a lot of sweet business for those who are into consumer goods, please ensure you deal with a trusted and reliable delivery company. If your customer request payment after delivery, if you can do it avail them. It will help boost trust in you.

4. Can I Trust your after-sales service?

A business relationship should not end immediately after sales. Follow up on your customers after they buy from you. This will surely produce great rewards in form of referrals if you do it very well. Find out if they are enjoying what they bought from you, if they are having any issues be ready to provide assistance till they are satisfied.
