Tiles and dreams
It may be ironic, but they too, like man, are made with the matter of dreams: that same clay that gave rise to such fabulous legends as that of the Hebraic Golem.
They are the long-suffering and faithful infantry, always in the front line, protecting the trenches of the home against the powerful army of inclement weather.
In addition, there was a time when he shared traditions with men and in the center of the roofs, they always left a small opening through which the souls of the deceased escaped, leaving to occupy a new residence among the stars.
And they even lined up, like the scales of a dragon, around the pine forest fireplace, whose cone shape or Phrygian cap, served to drive away the witches.
Always supportive, like human skin, they too crack in the hot summers and crack in the strong frosts of winter: roof tiles.

Thank-you very much to the @qurator team and specially to @ackhoo
This building looks like an old village house. Are they chimneys or kiln shafts?
Chimneys, although somewhat distorted from the originals.
