[ENG-SPN] When an angel passes / Cuando pasa un ángel

Popular wisdom usually says, referring to that strange moment in which two interlocutors remain prisoners of a sudden mutism, moments after having had an intense and pleasant conversation, that something so unusual and disconcerting, has been motivated by the unnoticed passage of an angel.

Even saving the differences, such an incomprehensible situation could be suggested, which also occurs -and by the way, quite often- with our perceptions, where there are occasions in which the landscape seems to unfold into two well-differentiated parts, causing the sensation, in the casual spectator, that at least one of these parts suffers from a desperate melancholy.

Melancholy, on the other hand, which was subtly used by artists of all time -and as an example, I refer to the great Albrecht Dürer- as a testimony that the supernatural -category, where, of course, we could also place angels- It can also have a devastating effect by interfering in the world of limited human perception, which would make good the theory of that strange author, Emmanuel Velikovsky, about colliding worlds.

La sabiduría popular suele decir, refiriéndose a ese momento tan extraño en el que dos interlocutores permanecen prisioneros de un repentino mutismo, instantes después de haber mantenido una intensa y agradable conversación, que algo tan insólito y desconcertante, ha sido motivado por el paso inadvertido de un ángel.

Aun salvando las diferencias, tal incomprensible situación, podría sugerirse, que ocurre, también -y por cierto, bastante a menudo- con nuestras percepciones, donde hay ocasiones en las que el paisaje parece desdoblarse en dos partes, bien diferenciadas, causando la sensación, en el casual espectador, de que, al menos, una de esas partes adolece de una desesperada melancolía.

Melancolía, por otra parte, que fue sutilmente utilizada por los artistas de todos los tiempos -y como ejemplo, me remito al genial Alberto Durero- como testimonio de que lo sobrenatural -categoría, donde, desde luego, podríamos situar también a los ángeles- puede tener, además, un efecto devastador al interferir en el mundo de la limitada percepción humana, que harían buena la teoría de aquél extraño autor, Emmanuel Velikovsky, sobre los mundos en colisión.
