[ENG-SPN] This land is Aragon: Uncastillo / Esta tierra es Aragón: Uncastillo

Aragon is a land of mysteries, but also of notable charms, whose contrast and picturesqueness contrasts, sovereignly, with a rich historical, artistic and cultural legacy, which, measured as a whole, contains an essential part of some architectures, such as the Romanesque and Mudejar, which, in their style, already exude a sovereignty and beauty, worthy of admiration.

Leaving for another time the spectacular beauty of that Mudejar architecture, which has made many Aragonese cities, including Zaragoza, the undisputed capital of said style, other geographical areas stand out, in daring contrast, such as the Cinco Villas, where another type of architecture , the Romanesque, marked one of the great cultural milestones, which, united, especially, with the clearly medieval architecture that still prevails in towns, such as Uncastillo, induce the surprised traveler to savor them from the perspective of a palate, unconditionally surrendered to History .

These temples with these sculptures were, for a long time, the book for a people who hardly had access to education, but who, nevertheless, perfectly understood the symbolic message of these sculptures.

Aragon is not a city. Aragon is a region, an Autonomous Community. The city seen in the photographs is called Uncastillo.

This place seems like one of those places that we see in medieval movies in which everything contrasts, making us the audience feel admiration just by looking.

Indeed, these types of places have always enjoyed special attention, as ideal settings for many films, quite a few of them, of course, set in the Middle Ages. Happy weekend.
