[ENG-SPN] Diametrically opposite worlds / Mundos diametralmente opuestos

The picture could not be more idyllic, despite the fact that spring had awakened, who knows if imitating the sobs of the infant who opens his eyes to the world for the first time, protesting the first welcome lashes and the skies, covered with those same ones. colors that El Greco used in his palette to delve into the blackness of the unknowable, threatened to descend in torrents of water on a land in which the cherry trees were beginning to bloom, contrasting notably with the emerald green color of a grass drowned in drops of Dew. The old hermitage, located outside the walls of a town, whose inhabitants were torn between the orthodox rites of Holy Week and the heterodox beliefs in ancestral myths, would have been considered a desert in the eyes of the exhausted traveler, had it not been for the opportune sight of the smoke. pushing out of the occasional fireplace, which also seduced the papillae with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and freshly toasted bread.

Far from being an architecture worthy of the opulence of the great masters of Cluny, who raised authentic towers of Babel in honor of the art of the time, the Romanesque, the hermitage obeyed, rather, that type of country architecture, simple and eminently rural, with little or no encouraging decoration of subtle paradigms, although, nevertheless necessary to maintain faith in territories recovered twice: on the one hand, from the Agarene invader and on the other, from ancestral gods who persevered to survive. in the most inaccessible of the mysterious mountains. Hence its isolated situation, like an irreducible trench that remained eternally alert between them and the people, marking a turning point between diametrically opposed worlds.

The emergence of spring always offers some very attractive and teaching landscapes, especially in what is concerned with the north of my country. Thank you very much for your comment and best regards.

It is a very beautiful area and for the lover of this type of architecture, Romanesque, one of the best places to explore, as it borders other regions rich in this artistic heritage, with which it also shares prominence.

This kind of a building in this kind of place is actually lovely
It may actually look isolated but I love the way it stands alone

They used to be elevated, in cases like this, in places where there were previous cults, as a kind of exorcism and despite their apparent simplicity, they still stand for the not inconsiderable age of a thousand years.

The hermitage is a good architectural structure despite its old and worn look. I wonder what it was used for and if it's still in use currently. Thanks for sharing and have a great day.

It was born as a place of worship, respect and prayer. And it continues to be so, although, in general, it only opens its doors on days of pilgrimage and special festivities.

It is a little-known place, far from the major tourist circuits.
