[ENG-SPN] Pilgrims of the Transcendent / Peregrinos de lo Trascendente

Hermann Hesse said that, for us travelers, all roads lead home. This premise could also be applied to what another writer, whose success, however, has not yet earned him the Nobel Prize, defined as the strange Camino de Santiago.

And truly, this path of the stars, which has been attracting attention since the dawn of the 8th century, when supernatural lights sighted in a shadowy Galician forest heralded, as in Bethlehem, the discovery of a wondrous place, is indeed so.

And it is, because it not only compels every seeker of the transcendent to give their best, testing their resilience and forcing them to face the countless challenges of the journey, where even danger becomes a vital teacher, but also always offers the opportunity to reach some picturesque place, perhaps anchored in a time that is neither better nor worse, and share enriching experiences that help us continue growing and moving forward, in any of the taverns along the villages and roads, where even a libertine, like Villon, always dreamed of the snows of yesteryear.

Decía Hermann Hesse, que, para nosotros, los caminantes, todos los caminos conducen al hogar. Esa premisa, podría aplicarse, también, a lo que otro escritor, cuyo éxito, sin embargo, hasta el día de la fecha no le ha hecho acreedor del Premio Nobel, definía como el extraño Camino de Santiago.

Y verdaderamente, ese camino de las estrellas, que lleva llamando la atención, nada más y nada menos que desde los albores del siglo VIII, cuando unas luces sobrenaturales avistadas en un sombrío bosque de Galicia anunciaron, como en Belén, el descubrimiento de un lugar prodigioso, lo es.

Y lo es, porque no sólo obliga a dar lo mejor de sí mismo a todo buscador de lo trascendente, poniendo a prueba su resiliencia y obligándole a enfrentar los mil y un retos de la prueba, donde incluso el peligro se convierte en un maestro vital, sino, que, además, ofrece siempre la oportunidad de llegar a algún pintoresco lugar, posiblemente anclado en un tiempo que no es ni mejor ni peor y compartir enriquecedoras experiencias, que nos ayudan a seguir creciendo y avanzando, en cualquiera de las tabernas de los pueblos y caminos, donde incluso un libertino, como Villon, soñaba siempre con las nieves de antaño.
