[WE110] Let your imagination fly

Hello Hivers friends. I am glad to participate for the first time in this weekend initiative. In this opportunity, I am going to choose one of the proposed topics that I liked, where I am going to do a mental exercise, since it is a situation that I have come to experience. There are some periods of my life that due to nervous alterations, stress or anxiety, I lose sleep for almost the whole night. I stay awake for long hours and I have no choice but to make the most of the time. Although I love to sleep, nevertheless these episodes in my life are frequent, so I will talk to you about it:

What if you didn't have to sleep? Imagine if you never had to sleep, what would you do with the extra time you would gain? List some of the things and explain why you would do them and how the extra time would impact your life.

What I could do if I never had to sleep, taking into account that work schedules could be between 6 to 10 hours a day, I would have more than 14 hours left to do other tasks, for example, study and learn. I like to learn about history, because I can learn many of the characters that have existed in the past. This allows me to learn about the good or bad things they have done, what were the results of the decisions they made, how it affected them as a person and how it also affected humanity. As for example: leaders like Jesus Christ, a Jew who lived in the first century of the Christian era, who with his preaching of good news of peace changed the lives of millions of people by instituting Christianity. Alexander the Great, King of Greece in the 4th century before the Christian era, who conquered and ruled continents by force of his military army and subjugated entire nations, thanks to that he spread the Greek language and culture of the time.

Also to take advantage of my sleepless time, I would like to learn about scientists such as: Thomas Edison one of those who contributed to the discovery of electricity. Another would be Alexander Fleming who became famous for discovering antibiotics. In short, knowing history allows me to understand and comprehend the past, present and future. I can even learn life lessons such as: to sacrifice to benefit others, to see the suffering that results from the ambition for power, I learn how dedication is fundamental to achieve objectives and goals.

Another thing I would do is to study the new trends that are affecting the world, such as Cryptocurrency investments, because I think it is the future of financial decentralization, but I have only known about it for a year. Likewise, I am fascinated to learn about technological advances, in this robotic and automation era that is part of our lifestyle and is influencing us on a daily basis even in the work area. It is fascinating to know that thanks to the software and applications that have been developed for electronic equipment, we can communicate in real time with people from other parts of the world. Also how thanks to technology, health risks can be identified with the applications that are available and jobs can be done, almost automatically. In addition, I would love to learn to play guitar, which for reasons of time I have not been able to develop, because who does not like music? Besides the fact that it amuses me, it relaxes me and excites me. It brings me joy when I listen to some of my friends, who play melodies very well.

I would also like, among other things, to study and learn three languages, which I find important, such as English, German and Chinese. This would help me to communicate, learn their cultures, their achievements and influence in the world economy, as well as their technology. I would even organize my work activities in such a way that, in six months I would do those activities to support my family and then in the other six months I would travel to those countries to see closely their cultures, technological advances, beautiful places, natural landscapes, designs and realized structures. I would also take the time to learn about agriculture, plants, gardening, landscaping, botany, among other things, because I like plants, what I can do with them, their products, flowers and food, and also their healing powers, which can improve our quality of life. Even related to this, I would like to study and develop the culinary art with ingredients that stand out for their aromas, flavors, their nutritional power, so I can cook them, prepare them, serve them and enjoy them with family and friends every weekend.

Anyway, there are so many things I could do if I never slept that this list is short for the things I would like to do with the average years of life of a human being, and that would be multiplied by 24 hours per day. But the reality is different, thank God that we were also made to sleep, for that have a purpose, which is the welfare of our own body. While we sleep the brain fixes the memories of the day, the muscles are growing and absorbing the nutrients consumed, some vital organs pause to renew, and who has not woken up wanting to continue sleeping? So to a certain extent that also brings pleasure. However, as I said at the beginning, I have periods of time when sleep escapes me and I spend nights without getting it, so I prepare myself to carry out some study project and useful reading, which perhaps I would not have time to develop in the days when I do sleep. Besides keeping my mind busy with useful things that teach me and that I learn, doing these activities without disturbing or making noise in another area of the house allows my wife's sleep to be uninterrupted.

And so ends my mental exercise, about imagining everything I would do with more time, for not complying with the natural sleep cycle. I found this proposal interesting and I hope that my intervention will be to the readers' liking. Happy weekend to all.

Te imaginas no dormír? Me encantó tu artículo, espero seguir leyendo tus publicacione. Bendiciones 🙏🤗❤️🥂💕
