Flower of the Field, King´s Cane / Flor del Campo, Bastón de Rey [ENG - ESP]

Hello friends! I am glad to greet you and take this opportunity to share some photos I took of one of the flowers I like for its texture, color and size. As I have told you I like gardens, planting and harvesting... plants are one of the hobbies I have and that relaxes me the most, so I enjoy nature and what it has to offer. This past weekend I was visiting the countryside outside the city and after enjoying lunch, I took a look around the house, as there were many beautiful plants and flowers. As it is an area of sandy soils the kinds of plants are different from those seen in the mountains. There are many succulent plants, as these are from arid areas. So, to my surprise I saw in the distance this large and beautiful flower, which does not go unnoticed, because it is the Porcelain Rose, also known as King's cane or Emperor's cane.
I saw it in a slightly humid environment, of sandy soil and accompanied with abundant shade, since it was under a large mango tree. Its leaves are elongated and the flower is given in a long, strong textured rod that ends in this exotic flower. In addition, as you can see in the photo, this specimen has petals with white edges and some with yellow, in fact it gives the impression as if it were a belt on a dress hehehehehe .... This plant is about 1.5m tall, although in the woods, they grow much taller. Its texture is very smooth and its color is striking, as it has a deep crimson red combined with a lighter red. I have also seen on another occasion, one of these pink flowers and there are also white ones. After this flower is cut, it is put in water and it lasts a long time because it does not wilt easily...extraordinary, isn't it?.... I usually use this flower in floral arrangements, with enough foliage, but without losing its prominence.
Nature once again shows me how extraordinary its variety and each well done design is. Of course, behind these wonders there is a designer and Creator, God, who with his gifts makes our lives happier. What we have to do is to stop and look at them, so we get a direct connection with the one who made these extraordinary living beings. Que tal amigos! Me da gusto saludarlos y aprovechar la ocasión para compartir unas fotos que tomé de una de las flores que me gustan por su textura, color y tamaño. Como les he comentado me gustan los jardines, sembrar y cosechar… las plantas son uno de los pasatiempos que tengo y que más me relajan, así disfruto de la naturaleza y de lo que esta ofrece. Este fin de semana pasado estaba de visita en un campo, fuera de la ciudad y después de disfrutar del almuerzo, me dispuse a ver los alrededores de la casa, pues habían muchas plantas y flores hermosas. Como es una zona de tierras arenosas las clases de plantas son diferentes a las que se ven en las montañas. Se ven muchas plantas suculentas, pues están son de zonas áridas. Por eso, para mi sorpresa vi a lo lejos esta grande y hermosa flor, que no pasa desapercibido, porque se trata de la Rosa de Porcelana, también conocida como Bastón de Rey o Bastón de Emperador.
La ví en un entorno un poco húmedo, de tierra arenosa y acompañada con abundante sombra, ya que estaba debajo de un gran árbol de mango. Sus hojas son alargadas y la flor se da en una vara, larga, de textura fuerte que termina en esta flor exótica. Ademas, como pueden ver en la foto, este ejemplar tiene pétalos con orillas en blanco y en algunos con amarillo, de hecho da la impresión como si fuera un cinturón puesto en un vestido jejeje…. Esta planta tiene aproximadamente 1.5m de alto, aunque en los bosques, crecen mucho más. Su textura es muy suave y su color es llamativo, pues posee un rojo carmesí intenso combinado con un rojo mas claro. También he visto en otra oportunidad, una de estas flores de color rosado y también la hay de color blanco. Después que se corta esta flor, se mete en agua y dura un tiempo prolongado porque no se marchita con facilidad…extraordinaria no?... Esta flor, la suelo utilizar en arreglos florales, con suficiente follaje, pero sin que ella pierda su protagonismo.
La naturaleza de nuevo me demuestra lo extraordinario de su variedad y de cada diseño bien hecho. Por supuesto, que detrás de estas maravillas hay un diseñador y Creador, Dios, que con sus regalos nos hace la vida más feliz. Lo que tenemos que hacer es detenernos y observarlos, así logramos una conexión directa con el que hizo estas extraordinarios seres vivos. Las fotos que comparto son de mi propiedad y fueron tomadas con mi celular Redmi8… espero puedan disfrutar al igual que yo, de la Flor de Bastón de Rey. Me despido hasta otro momento. Feliz semana.
