Viaje a mis ruinas (Esp | Eng)

No había advertido aquella abertura de las ruinas de la fortaleza olvidada. Por ella pudo ver la tierra arrasada, aunque también la belleza de la península.
Los colonizadores la habían construido. Habían querido hacer suya aquella paz, de arenas prístinas y de luz inmarcesible.
La sal era su botín, y su ruina. Erosiona todo, y el mar seguía ahí.
Ahora es solo un paisaje encuadrado, una mirada perdida. Unas ruinas de caliza lejana en el horizonte.

Journey to My Ruins

I hadn't noticed that opening in the ruins of the forgotten fortress. Through it, I could see the devastated land, but also the beauty of the peninsula.
The colonizers had built it. They had wanted to make that peace their own, with its pristine sands and unfading light.
Salt was their plunder, and their ruin. It erodes everything, and the sea was still there.
Now it's just a framed landscape, a lost gaze. Some distant limestone ruins on the horizon.
