A propósito de la fecha de muerte de Karl Marx, 14 de marzo de 1883.

¿Qué estarías pensando hoy, tú, tan crítico, ante lo que llegaron a ser los países donde se establecieron las “sociedades” que serían una “manifestación libre y de disfrute de la vida”, según ideaste?

No llegaste a imaginar, en tu casi febril conciencia, que la realización de la utopía, aunque “científica”, que proyectaste, podía ser la negación de la libertad y del disfrute. Que la “dictadura del proletariado” sería más bien la ruina del pueblo, y que las sociedades bajo la ideología que propulsaste serían una muestra del progreso del horror.

Tan racionalista, diste partida de nacimiento a las peores de las experiencias sociales modernas (junto al fascismo y el nazismo, en los que quizás anidó germinalmente esa ideología hegemónica que presagiaste).

Ha sido tu ideología más “opio del pueblo” que la religión, que, en algunos casos, hasta ha salvado a ese pueblo abandonado y sometido por los regímenes inspirados en tu ideario.

On the Occasion of the Anniversary of Karl Marx’s Death

What would you, so critical, be thinking today, seeing what has become of the countries where the “societies” were established that were supposed to be a “free expression and enjoyment of life,” as you envisioned?

You never imagined, in your almost feverish mind, that the realization of the utopia—albeit a “scientific” one—that you envisioned could be the negation of freedom and enjoyment. That the “dictatorship of the proletariat” would instead be the ruin of the people, and that societies under the ideology you championed would be a manifestation of the progression of horror.

So rationalist, you gave birth to the worst of modern social experiences (alongside fascism and Nazism, in which perhaps that hegemonic ideology you foreshadowed first took root).

Your ideology has been more of an “opium of the people” than religion, which, in some cases, has even saved those very people abandoned and subjugated by regimes inspired by your ideology.

May God have received you into His peace, as a good son of a Jew!
