Habita detrás de la corteza de los árboles
Deambula en el aire de las tardes terminales
Dormita en el silencio producido por las cigarras
Camina por los senderos ocultos de las hormigas

Pasa como la luz por los claros de las frondas
Entra límpido por tu ventana al alba
O ronronea en la almohada de tu insomnio

Puede tornarse balbuceo o vislumbre
Inesperado y repentino
el misterio levanta
a veces
la punta de su velo

At times

Dwells behind the bark of the trees
Wanders in the air of the terminal afternoons
Sleeps in the silence produced by the cicadas
Walks in the hidden paths of the ants

Passes like light through the clearings of the fronds
Enter limpidly through your window at dawn
Or purrs on the pillow of your insomnia

It may become a babble or a glimpse
Unexpected and sudden
the mystery lifts
sometimes
the corner of its veil
