I woke up this morning feeling very creative. I had slept very well the previous night and I woke up rejuvenated. However something strange happened. I felt my face tightened, i tried to express a smile which should happen naturally, but I couldn't.

I felt my face giving off a different expression which was quite different from what I was actually feeling inside of me. The feeling inside of me was that of refreshment, someone who has been refurbished and packaged and I felt a rush of vigor inside of me. Then I began to wonder. How is it possible to wear a feeling of sadness or pain in contrast to what one is actually feeling?

In reality, humans are very good with masking their original feelings and emotions. Sometimes people do this to actually create an idea that they're strong. We humans, we're very impressionistic. creating impression is how we tend to subconsciously communicate.

Sometimes I feel that when we subconsciously communicate, we tend to create a deeper connection. Somebody can evoke or cause another person to react in ways which they originally wouldn't, all because they're moved by their emotion to react differently to a different form of emotion. When you look at social media for example, the picture of a child in the storm, crying with no clothes on can spark a feeling of outrage, a feeling of pity, companion, pain, then finally anger.

Now, impressions can be deadly, because it can wrongly induce feelings to be channelled wrongly. Here's a proof. For example, when I wake up, I used to take time to mediate, weigh the situations in my life. Deep down, I begin to think of how I can conquer different obstacles, think of how I can beat the world at it's own game, while attaining fufilment or satisfaction for each new day.

Now, throughout this period, anyone who sees me might think I was saddened by something in my life but this might totally be the case. However, we live in a world where people might not physically embody their emotion, but they wouldn't waste time doing so on social media. This might looking contrasting, but it's a perfect juxtaposition of what our reality is like.
However, people try as much as possible to hide their feeling in real life.

This is put on a show of strength. Sometimes people smile and deep down they're sad and agonized and rarely, in some exceptional situations, people look sad by they're actually not However, there are people who portray their feeling with the appropriate facial expressions.

However, in these pictures, I wasn't feeling sad or happy, Just emotionless and trying to only create a sombre impression with my edits.

So I took this shot on my iPhone 12, I had to select a dramatic warm effect, I reduced the exposure, added some saturation, the vibrancy and of course, I change the perspective, then properly cropped the pictures.
I took three of them, I didn't know if the emotions I tried to portray had the right effect.

But the only way I can get to find out is by asking; How you feel by looking at these pictures, what is your artistic view concerning the picture? Do you think the emotions looked real? Plus..... Do you think I could have done better?

I'm still trying to figure out what could be the reason why I'll wear a different facial expression when I'm actually feeling good from the inside.

Well, all will be well ....

It can happen. I basically think it's a psychological contradiction. Sometimes it is not all our emotions that reflects through our facial reactions. Sometimes we only subconsciously do is to create a different impression

Of a truth, most times, our facial expressions carries a different impression and can lead to one being misjudged. This has happened to me many times and I feel its just normal since it has no explanation.

Though, Someone said that " Our unexplainable expressions are sometimes a result of a heavy heart, maybe resulting from thoughts and burdens."

Your pictures are top-notch and of a good quality. They really show that melancholic expression.

Nice pictures man. I hope your facial expression has brightened up already. Do take care.

Much love 😍

Thanks for coming through. Actually I think that sometimes we might be happy, but this happiness does not reflect through our emotions. There are so many underlying psychological reasons for this. Sometimes people do this in order to create a discipline. In life I have been taught not to express too much sadness or too much happiness.
This is because it can make somebody react in a way that might not seem right.
However in my case I was only trying to create an impression with the look on my face.

People hide the way they feel most of the time and wear a face just to look okay. I really like this picture. Model

Thanks a lot. This is me as well. In most situations I feel that showing that one is worried will not do any good. But sometimes wearing a smiling or cheerful face might be good for one's mood

I am loving the pics especially the last one, looks like someone photographed you there and nicely captured.

I woke up this morning feeling very creative.

I get one of those days and it is those days I usually utilize towards my activities here on Hive. Waking up feel unhappy is definitely not a good way to starts one's day.

I am my own photographer. The truth is that I have been looking for people who can volunteer to model for me.

So since I haven't been getting any I have been trying different shots where it would seem as if I was externally photographed.

Sincerely I was feeling very creative yesterday and this was how I got to create these pictures

Shot 2 and 3 perhaps had the effect you were hoping for. Shot 1 looked a bit calmer perhaps.

And, Good Morning.

Thank you, I felt the same as you and this was probably why I decided to change the expression in the second and third picture.

My first feeling is the feeling of "God When?" 🥺

Nice shots! Mhad iphone 12, krazy modelling and Nice write-up.

Honestly, it seems as though humans are naturally blessed with that subconscious or conscious talent. O, I mean the "scam" talent: to mislead someone with your facial expression into thinking that 'you are how your facial expression is.'

Yea, I call it scam and misleading, because it can be used for "scam" or "dubious" purpose: Tricking someone to believe something, in order to benefit from the person's innocence.

NA WETIN YAHOO BOYS DEY DO SEF!!!

But, on the other hand, calling it a scam will be so wrong of me. Because, sometimes we wear certain facial expression to conceal our weakness and tears. It somehow provides us with strength and makes us forget those troubling situations for a while.

Just like what you expressed in this piece.

I think this poses a big question: "Should I believe people's facial expressions or not?" 🥺🥺🥺

Well, from your "modellistic" pictures 😏....

I am not seeing an emotionless person sha... 🤔

Maybe because I tend not to accept the idea of emotionless.... infact, being emotionless is already an emotion.

Why are you emotionless?

Because you aren't doing anything yet, or because you're less busy at the moment waiting for something else... so right now, you are free... or maybe, you feel you don't have emotions presently.

When you question this, you realised that something is actually responsible for that feeling that people tag as "emotionless."

For me, I object to any idea of "emotionlessness" because deep inside, there's an emotion prompting the emotionlessness.

Infact, being emotionless is an emotion! 🎤

That's my view shaaa!

Yes I believe being able to express emotions that are not actually the right content of one's embodiment is na true talent. This is to just show how versatile we are when it comes to expressing emotions.
It can create a good and a bad effect at the same time. Back in the days I used to be a very sadistic person, but this was evident in what I posted especially on the internet. In reality I wouldn't say my pain were exactly as great as I expressed them. All in all, faking an emotion is something we probably do almost all the time, either subconsciously or consciously.
Thanks for the comment hahaha PS; I'm looking for a model to be shooting all the time. Hahahaha.

At first, I had two thoughts when I saw the cover image...one, you'd make a great actor and two, what's up with @josediccus?. Although, I had seen the link yesterday but forgot to check it out..

In reality, humans are very good with masking their original feelings and emotions

Honestly, there are people that are masters in that field, I could be that sometimes but I dont keep it too much.

And concerning the part of outward emotions being misinterpreted, yes it is very possible. For example, my roommate is somehow who may just he quiet throughout the day as aginst an energetic comedian he is..but most times not because of something bad but he'd be thinking strategy for his business..or school work..😂

And those pictures are dope, with the way you mentioned all those exposure, saturaton etc. I cannot relate to..😂😂
